Food was fantastic as always. The service by this server Roxana seemed to be so great to start with. Roxana seemingly prepared our table meticulously by moving around plates, pouring soy sauce for each of us then put it aside, even took the wooden chopsticks out of the package and split them for us. We ordered a couple of appetizers and Roxana brought, she constantly kept checking on empty plates and took away as she saw them. She seemed a type A server. Fast forward when she brought a check, something was not right. I saw quite a few dishes that we did not order on the bill/receipt. When I was looking at it Roxana seemed to notice what I noticed and brought the corrected bill right away…. At this point in my mind something was not right about this girl. Mistakes happen but if you are so meticulous about everything and so perfect, you do not mess up your customer’s bill like this. If I was not careful enough, I would have paid what was on the bill plus tips.
This server was definitely questionable for me. I have been going to Zushi since its opening and never encountered this issue. I always had impressions that workers at Zushi was well trained but this time, this was a very bizarre experience for me. Hope the owner follow up this review.

This IS the best sushi in VB and the surrounding areas. Like hands down. We have been to many sushi places and we’ve never had as fresh of sushi and rice. We love the ambiance and the freshness. It’s also extremely reasonable price for the quality! We’re big fans and have been dozens of times. A hidden gem in the area!

This is not a paid review. Our family moved in the area 10 yrs ago and been coming to Zushi since. I must say the service & quality of food are excellent and consistent that's why we keep coming back. They also keep your table clean throughout for every course of the meal.

Absolutely delicious food. My fiancé and I both got a sushi entree-mine being the sushi entree itself and his being the sashimi and sushi entree. To say that the quality of this food is excellent is an understatement. Out of the majority sushi restaurants I have been at in the Hampton Roads area, this place tops the chart on quality, service and atmosphere.
Top sushi experience. 5 stars across the board. Food appeared and tasted delicious! I had the Daku mari roll, octopus roll, and Christmastree roll (recommended by the host). This place is top tier quality sushi. The service was fantastic. The host was very courteous over the phone and accommodating as soon as i walked through the door. The server we had was exceptionally kind, proactive and imformative. The chef came over toward the end of our meal and was very personable. Food was really something to write home about. Enjoyed the diversity amongst patrons and phenomenal level of service. Very impressed.

I am truly mind blown by how the chef was handling himself and raw fish. With no care in the world it seems, he is wiping his nose, scratching the back of his ear, touching his hair, and then proceeding to touch raw fish to make sushi. I watched him wash his hands one time because I know he knew I was staring at him the entire time. But then he continued to do it! It was every thirty seconds, he was wiping or touching his nose. I recognize we might not know what goes on in a kitchen but you are on full display in a sushi restaurant. It was rather disgusting. I told my husband there was no way we were eating that sushi. We got it to go so I wouldn’t make a scene and threw it in the trash. I will never dine there again.

The sushi was fantastic and the service was quick and attentive. The rolls were very generous too and we actually ended up with a few extra pieces because we were so full. The restaurant itself has a very relaxing vibe and it’s in a fun location overall.

Their online reservation system does not work. I made a reservation for three days ago online, and the system said the request went through successfully. I called today to confirm since I hadn't received any confirmation email, and they said they did not see anything, and that they are fully booked. I'd recommend fixing the online reservation system, or removing it.
