I visited for a solo pre-birthday lunch. I had received a recommendation to try the chicken salad sandwich, but I ultimately chose the salmon lox-style sandwich. I was a bit disappointed with the focaccia bread, as it did not seem fresh and perhaps was from the previous day. However, the sandwich itself was quite good, and I ended up taking half of it home. I saw a Facebook post raving about Cafe Torino, so a friend and I decided to try it for lunch today — and wow, it absolutely lived up to the hype. It was deliziosa! The focaccia bread was perfectly baked — soft, flavorful, and just the right texture. And the pastries? Incredible. Everything looked (and tasted) amazing. I honestly wish I could have bought one of everything to take home. We’ll definitely be back!

This is hands down the best Italian lunch you will find in the greater DC/NOVA area! I’ve had Italian sandwiches all over the world, to include Rome and Florence, you CANNOT find a better sandwich than right here. The focaccia is the stuff dreams are made of!

And the staff!!! 🤌🏻🤌🏻 They are the best. I only wish they were open for dinner.
