Food was inedible and bland. Ate a few bites and had to throw away the food as it made us all sick. Do not recommend this place.

We ordered $80 of food for pickup, they forgot the soup, no condiments for the spring rolls and egg rolls, food was picked up as soon as the order was ready, but still cold. When I called, the girl hung up on me at first, then I had to call back, and they seemed unconcerned and rude about it and just wanted me off the phone. Shame too, used to be a good place. I’m just eating my fried won ton soup toppers at this point wishing I had some soup to go with….

So this is normally our go-to Chinese place in Warrenton, my son loves their dumplings, but recently we got a takeout order from here and there was literally multiple metal shavings in our order of dumplings. Dumplings. We were afraid to eat them because we didn't know if they would actually be inside the food, but they were laying on top. I wouldn't have honestly left a review if they had actually acted like they cared... I called them to alert them that there was thick metal shavings in the food that we ordered, And I didn't really necessarily need to talk to a manager but they transferred me to someone who they said was a manager. I'm not actually sure if it was and she acted like she didn't even care and she was just like oh I'm sorry that happened, and that was it. I kind of had expected like maybe they would replace the food that had metal shavings in it since my kid couldn't even eat it? But they didn't offer to replace it at all, and honestly didn't seem to care. So we probably won't be eating here again.
Just move into the area. Good place to eat. No fried plantains.

This place is BUSY but in a good way - meaning people love the food. We had tried another Chinese food joint less than a mile away and that place wasn’t good but I wanted to give this place a chance - TOPS DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Flavorful, delicious, affordable, great service and did I say DELICIOUS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Will be going again 😀

BEWARE: We ordered online from this restaurant one time back in March of 2023. We used a Privacy.com merchant-locked card which was only used that one time at this restaurant and no where else. Since then we have had someone attempting to use that card number multiple times at places like Doordash and Walmart. Just posting this so others who may order online from their system using a credit/debit card are aware.
Best food
This place has been open forever but their quality has gone way down while prices have been raised. We've been eating here for 25 years but I'm done.
Nothing seems fresh anymore, ever. The fried rice is always dry like it's been sitting out all day and warmed when you order it. The chicken they use for general tsos, sesame chicken or any similar dish is always crusty and hard to bite into. The ingredients used seem to be of low quality. Everything seems to be pre-made and then overcooked with an overly thick, flavorless sauce.
It's just not worth it anymore, it's just so bad.

TOP'S CHINA REVIEW
I'm reviewing their lunch special. I got the sesame chicken.
Short story: I'm impressed.
It cost $8.08 ($8.99 with tax). In today's economy that's very reasonable.
The portion is significant (you get over 20 pieces of chicken), And surprisingly to me they don't fill it up with broccoli. There were only 2 pieces in my meal. I'm not a big broccoli fan but even if I was I wouldn't want to pay for it to fill up the space that chicken should take on my plate.
The flavor is good enough. I'm not expecting H6igh Cuisine just good Chinese food and this is that.
The service was quick - they had my order ready in about 10 minutes. And the woman at the counter was winsome and kind. An obvious people person. (Thank you Vada!)
Big thanks to Top's China in Warrenton Virginia for a good meal at a great price.

Best in Warrenton! They use sticky rice which you will love. Everything I 've had there has been great. I live in Manassas and they beat anything we have here since Young Chow closed.

I had a hunch this place would be good when I saw multiple chefs in the kitchen prepping food for lunch. Their Chicken & broccoli used a light curry flavor on the chicken and fried rice had bbq pork in it. Moo Goo Gai Pan has a nice garlic kick. Both of these dishes have a tendency to be bland, or at least mild, at many Chinese restaurants but not at Top’s China!
It took awhile to find a good Chinese takeout and compared to our favorite place in Jersey, Top's is now our favorite here in VA!
