Granite Heights Winery Winery •
8141 Opal Rd, Warrenton

“My wife, Justine had a wonderful time. All their wines tasted great and it made it a little hard to decide which three we were going to take home. The owners were in the tasting room. And we were able to talk to them. They were very nice. There is a beautiful Magnolia tree I front of the old farm house. And my wife hopes to return to take pictures when it is in bloom. A verymeice winery so close to our home.“

Mediterranean Cellars, LLC. Wineries • $
8295 Falcon Glen Rd, Warrenton

“My second visit to Mediterranean Cellars, this time with another couple, reaffirmed my admiration for this boutique winery nestled in Warrenton, VA. Having been here previously in the fall, I was already captivated by the spectacular views it offered.Located a convenient 20 miles away from home, this visit was all about exploring their wines and enjoying good company. As someone who typically prefers bourbon, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their wines. Two of us opted for the whites while the other couple chose the reds. Each sip was a revelation, highlighting the rich characteristics of the Virginian soil that the winery so passionately cultivates. In addition to the wine, we indulged in some bread and pizza, which were as delightful as the wines. The food paired beautifully with our selections, enhancing the overall tasting experience.Mediterranean Cellars is not just a winery; it's a family-owned establishment that brings a slice of Greece to Virginia. The owners' passion for winemaking is evident in every glass, especially in unique offerings like the Rechina, a Greek-style white wine that's a rarity in the U.S. This winery, with its scenic vineyard views and a variety of exceptional wines, is more than just a place to taste wine; it's an experience that encapsulates the essence of Virginia's wine country.“

Vint Hill Craft Winery Winery • $$
7150 Lineweaver Rd, Warrenton

“Fantastic winery in Northern VA. While they don't grow grapes on-site, sources from various prominent regions, their wines are great quality and accommodations are fantastic. That location allows you to park, visit the winery, a brewery, a Cafe, and various other recreational shops (winery was still the show winner IMO). Highly recommend!“

Pearmund Cellars Wineries • $$
6190 Georgetown Rd, Broad Run - 5.69 miles

“Pearmund continues to be a consistently good experience - quality customer service, knowledgeable and interesting in sharing their wines. It comes at the typical Virginia premium (whites in the ~$20 range, reds up to $40).Adults-only in the tasting room, but kids allowed at the farm store (which sells wine by the bottle, but not tastings).Rentable rooms where the cost goes straight back to buying things.“

The Winery at La Grange Wineries • $$
4970 Antioch Rd, Haymarket - 11.18 miles

“I don't usually review wineries but had such a great experience, I felt compelled to share. Everything was wonderful from stat to finish. We came to La Grange on a cold January day for a friend group outing. My husband and I along with another friend couple arrived ahead of our other friends. We decided on trying the buy 1 get one free wine tasting and went with the reds. I had mentioned to my husband walking in that I never remember wines when visiting wineries. We both agreed after this wine tasting, this would not be the case. All of the wines were amazing! And unique. It was hard to pick a favorite among them.We had the pleasure of working with Chris, who seamlessly bounced between our friend group arriving at different times, seeking different wine style tastings. He was friendly, patient (our group may have broken a glass upon jubilant hellos), and knowledgeable. Being int he Bull Run area, it was fun to learn about the history of the building and wines Just be careful with Chris - he's a great salesman! He easily sold one of our friends on a membership - although the memberships do seem like a great value. I can't recall the exact specifics so don't want to speak on it, but if you are even slightly interested in a winery membership, I'd recommend asking about this one.We spent most of our time in the basement which is a cozy space, decorated with lights and that could accommodate our group as well as others. It was also helpful that they allow outside food, since we could pair what we wanted with the bottles of wine being consumed.Great time, great people, great experience. I'd love to come back in warmer weather to see the ground. Highly recommend!“

“Fantastic winery! Beautiful location! Wonderful staff and family. The 2020 Dry Resiling was amazing! I typically enjoy Alsatian whites and this was similar! Great surprise! My company held an event here a few weeks ago and the staff were incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure our team and guests had a great experience. I will be back with my friends & family! Our company plans to return next year!“
