Brought my mom here for the live music and fish and chips. Great atmosphere. Even with the music or acoustic guitar player, we could easily talk to each other.
Drinks came out quickly, and the peach old fashion was solid.
We both ordered the fish and chips, with the chips well done. Both came out great. Cod has a crispy outside and moist light fish trapped inside. Fries came out crispy to order.
All told, its a do over and we'll be back!
I got the citrus honey salmon. My sides were mashed potatoes and onion straws. The portions were pretty big. Beers were an average of five bucks a bottle. I gave the service a three and it might seem Petty but I had to ask for water twice and as your job a waitress should be able to see the need for water before you have to ask. Maybe she didn't want to waste a cup of water, which I admire. However, she could have asked me if I need more.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but the food I got was really not so great. I am VERY easy to please, but the Chicken steak breading was very salty, the butter beans were more like a paste, but the mashed potatoes were good at least. Had a flight of beer from their 12 available selections, all four were good that I had picked. Wife enjoyed her VB Crush.
Others had gotten meals with fresh cut fries, but they were just out right nasty. No meat of the potato, just...
