Fabulous homemade cake! These are REAL cakes--not frou frou, just simple and absolutely delicious. We got the chocolate, but it was hard to choose among the coconut cream, the German chocolate, and about five other flavors.
Food is good, I've never been disappointed in them and recommend trying it out. I favor the breakfast the most, and the french toast is the best I've ever had! I wouldn't go in expecting a real fancy meal, it's a small little restaurant with good American food.
It's a sweet little country diner where you rub elbows with a cross section if the county. Farmers and lawyers, weekenders from the city and folks whose families have lived there since the American Revolution. Bold faced names and mechanics. Food is diner fare--sandwiches, fried shrimp platters, burgers. Great desserts, like cobblers and mile high layer cakes. Iced tea, sweet or unsweet. The owner is the cook and will come out of the kitchen to see how you liked a new special....read full review
