We had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant across from the Inn’s main restaurant. A little noisy in the main dining room, when they have blue grass band. But we were able to ask for a table a little further away from the stage.

Get the French Onion Soup (even on a hot summer day).
It is superb.
We were seated promptly with no reservation.
Casual ambiance and decent service.
Wish we lived closer.

Always a fun time, I always end up eating too much. The service is amazing, the food is even better.
No strict attire requirements. Some people come in shirts and slacks, others and t-shirts and shorts. All are welcome

Stayed at the Inn and went here for dinner one night. Delicious options, great wait staff, and nice interior. Too hot to sit outside, though it looked nice.

Came here for a snack and it was really good. We shared some baked goods: two croissants, a lemon bar, a raspberry cake, as well as an earl gray matcha and a chai latte. Whilst they were expensive, there was great attention to detail and this was shown in everything that we bought. It’s hard to pinpoint a favourite dish but I really enjoyed the taste of the raspberry cake - occasionally you come across a $10 slice of cake, but this one is worth that. The depth of flavour in the chai was really good as well.

We didn’t have lunch here but I know that it would have been good as well.

Service was also great, Andre in particular was very good, and offered some great advice for hikes in the local area.

I look forward to returning to this place in the future, and wish to thank the team at patty o’s for a great afternoon treat.

First and foremost, our service was STELLAR and we will be back just to have Maggie take care of us again. She is such a delightful personality and it made our experience so much better.
We have been dying to visit the main restaurant and the cafe here and drove 3.5 hours from Maryland to do so. Despite a heavy rain storm and a tree blocking the road, we made it an hour later than our reserved time and the staff were so accommodating anyway. We started with a couple of exceptional drinks and I will point out that the Tipsy London drink is so superb, it definitely ranks as one of the best drinks I've ever had. The earl grey simple syrup with the smooth vodka is an exceptional pairing in that cocktail.
For appetizers, we tried the deviled eggs (wow), the escargots, and the soup which was a chilled orange tomato soup. That soup was surprisingly so refreshing and flavorful.
For entrees we got the mushroom Bolognese and the trout and I will absolutely stand by this - I typically order the fish dish at most restaurants and this was the best trout I have ever had. It was so soft and buttery with a delightful dance of flavors with the tomato tartare, leeks, and mustard. We also tried the white asparagus special which was so incredibly delicious, topped with capers and a cheese of some kind with a tangy but balanced sauce. We tried a few of the desserts and my favorite by far was the butter pecan ice cream. We visited for our wedding anniversary and the entire experience was pure magic. We will absolutely most certainly be back, thanks for a great memory!

Food is great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very charming; however, the service needs a lot of improvement. Waited at the table for almost 15 minutes before the server got to us, took 10 minutes to tell me they were out of a type of whiskey, then another 10 minutes to get another. They dorked my meal that was a big unforced error. Last, we had to keep tracking down severs just to get water refills. I imagine the servive and execution will get better, but still great food.

Excellent service, setting, and food. By far the DMV’s best kept secret. Very tasteful interior, great tasting food, and a scenic drive. The burger and the bourbon ice tea are particularly good. Cannot recommend it enough.

Fantastic service, good food. Small portions was the only drawback, had the burger, deviled eggs and dessert and was still a bit hungry. Wonderful anti-bellum atmosphere, beautiful building! Right across the intersection from the famous inn at little Washington. Would recommend the bakery too, coffee was superb and bread smelled fanatic. Would go again, hopefully to find a heartier dish!
