What an absolute delight to find this restaurant in the sea of chain restaurants around it. The Cuban food was absolutely legit. I wish we found it a day earlier we would’ve went twice.

What an incredible find!
I stopped by A Taste of Cuba tonight and was absolutely blown away. I ordered the Tostones Rellenos and the Cuban Sandwich, and both were phenomenal.
The Tostones Rellenos were packed with flavor, perfectly prepared, and unlike anything I typically find when traveling. The Cuban Sandwich was just as impressive—crispy, fresh, loaded with flavor, and easily one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve had in a very long time.
What really stood out was the quality. You can tell they take pride in what comes out of the kitchen. Everything tasted fresh, made to order, and prepared with care. In a world full of average restaurant food, this place is operating on a completely different level.
If you’re anywhere near the area and wondering where to eat, stop scrolling and go here. A Taste of Cuba delivers authentic flavors, generous portions, and food that you’ll be thinking about long after you leave.
Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back.
I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants while traveling for work, and A Taste of Cuba is one of those rare places that makes you wish it was back home.

Super fresh tasty food with generous portions! We got take out of the delicious Ropa Vieja (shredded beef in flavorful tomato sauce) and shrimp in creole sauce. Both were delicious and came with sides that were equally good. Mac and cheese especially, but green beans with garlic were fresh produce too.
We made two meals of our order with the portions. Tres Leches cake (3 milk) was sweet and delicious!! Too bad we split that :-)
Owner was super friendly and helpful. Gave us a good size tasting of the Ropa Vieja before we bought.
Inside seating looked really clean and there was outdoor seats as well. We ate our takeout in the RV with our dog to not leave her alone - too hot for outdoor seating that day.
RV notes - ample parking. Also across the street from a Walmart and next door to a Virginia ABC (liquor store) for your travel shopping tie in.

Really neat place and excellent customer service. But the proof is in the pudding, or should I say tamales? I scarfed down the empanadas before I remembered to take a picture. Everything was total nomage. The fried thing with the ground beef inside was delicious, it reminded me of a boudin ball from Louisiana but huge!

Absolutely above and beyond! I had to make a special request on my order and not only did they accommodate it perfectly, but they also included a kind note. We are blessed to have this wonderful restaurant in Waynesboro. We order frequently from Taste of Cuba and it’s always a great experience for our team at Standout Arts! The food is flavorful and unique. They have one of the best dessert menus around. They regularly add new items to the menu and I think it would be difficult to not be able to find something to please all tastes. From salads and sandwiches to unique entrees and appetizers, it’s always easy to find a new favorite from their menu. They have a great selection of beverages, too. Thank you, Taste of Cuba, for being awesome! We appreciate you!
