Royal India Palace Reviews
This is my absolute go to restaurant for any occasion. Meeting a friend for lunch, going on a romantic date, just grabbing a fancy cocktail, and I even had my staff Christmas party here.
Every dish I’ve had has been bursting with flavor
I also really love the owners. Super sweet people and attentive service.
I think the food is amazing and would eat it every day if my budget allowed it:)
This place is top notch. I have been to many many MANY Indian restaurants around the country and this place makes the top of the list. Nestled in a beautiful space in downtown Waynesboro (in the midst of a glow up!), you are greeted immediately and ushered to a table in the middle of a vast dining room that feels intimate in its vastness. The service is that of a 5 star restaurant. The server learns and then remembers your name and makes you feel like you are dining in their family...read full review

Royal India Palace is a highly regarded restaurant known for its exceptional food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. Despite occasional waits, the quality of the food and overall experience make it well worth it. The interior is spacious, clean, and cozy with elevated decor that pleasantly surprises visitors. The ambiance features high ceilings and thoughtful decor, creating a nice atmosphere for any occasion, whether dining with friends, going on a date, or celebrating a special event like a staff Christmas party.
The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, including Indian and Nepali options, with a special lunch menu that includes an entrée, cucumber/tomato salad, rice, and an appetizer served on a large platter. Popular dishes include the Butter Chicken, which is enjoyed with medium spice, and the Nepali dumplings, considered the best by many. The naan bread is especially praised for its deliciousness. Some appetizers, like samosas, may be greasy or mushy inside, but overall, the food consistently bursts with flavor.
Service is often described as superb, with friendly and attentive staff who help with menu choices and engage with guests. Beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are available to complement meals. Portions are generous, and the dishes are priced on the higher side, reflecting the quality offered. Parking options include street parking and a lot behind the building. Royal India Palace stands out as the best locally owned dining option, offering food quality that rivals big city restaurants and a welcoming environment that keeps diners returning time and again.
