This is the most delicious food I’ve had in Waynesboro so far! Perfect flavor, perfect texture, and legit spicy if you ask for it! Michelle and Tyla were friendly and cool, and we had such a great time chatting with them! We will be repeat customers for sure!!

Best gumbo around! Awesome atmosphere, great staff! She will make you gumbo on her day off for events of you ask. My family is all form the Louisiana/Mississippi border area so I grew up on creole and this is the best I’ve had outside the gulf.

Although a small place to dine-in, do not let that deter you from eating from their kitchen! Order out and enjoy your meal at sunset park, home for a movie dinner, or really anywhere (just take this food with you, it’s so good😍)!

The Gumbo Hut is absolutely amazing! You must try the catfish. It's the best I've ever had. All of the food was perfect. There was a small mishap with our order that was not the restaurant's fault, but it was handled quickly and professionally. We will definitely be coming back! 😊

We were so excited to try this place but they have no hand held menus. The young lady informed us that we had to use a QR code for the menu. I told her we didn't use QR codes. She was working on a lap top and didn't offer to show us the menu or print a paper copy. We left disappointed .

I recently visited The Gumbo Hut while on a business trip and was craving gumbo along with red beans and rice. It did not disappoint—absolutely delicious! The spices were perfectly balanced, and the customer service was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town, wish I had more time.

I've had New Orleans style food at many restaurants in my lifetime none were better than the Gumbo Hut. The food was amazingly delicious 😋. This is what I call a hidden gem. Very great restaurant, I can't wait until I'm back in town to eat here again.
