This place has great beer and a friendly, helpful staff. We had a flight, and our favorite beer were the Vienna, and the Hausbier. There's also plenty of space to sit inside and outside. During our visit, there was a live band signing all the hits.
We were staying in Harrisonburg for the first stop of a long road trip. Stopped at Alpine Goat before heading to the hotel for some beer and dinner after a long drive. Beautiful barn and landscape. Friendly bartenders. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to burn off some energy. Watched the sun set with some great beer and great food from the Wolf and Wren food truck. Would absolutely go out of my way to stop here if I am nearby again.
Converted horse stable with as much of the original architecture retained as possible.
East Coast IPA is robust thanks to the NZ hops. Servers friendly and full of info. Great outdoor spaces and frequent live music.
Oh, and it’s the Alpine Goat because the owner’s originally from Austria, which shows up in some of the beers, but nothing horsey...
