My husband ordered a coconut cake for my birthday. It was very disappointing. The cake was so dry we can only guess that it was several weeks old before the frosting was added.We ended up dumping it in the garbage. Will not return.

We have tried so many different baked items and they were all very very good. This review is specific to the rustic olive bread - AMAZING. I'm not a big fan of olives, but tried this bread because we have enjoyed so many great items from the case. The olives are huge, soft, but not overbearing which allows the bread to shine!!! The bread has a nice rustic crust which wraps around the soft tasty bread inside. Awesome bread. I simply spread room temp butter from Kellum or Dug In and munch. For those who feel customer service or friendliness is lacking, I would like to remind that the pandemic stressed everything that touches retail operations. Staff is hard to find, train and keep, especially in a small rural town. Supply chain issues and inflation (because the world tried to stop) have complicated every business. Finally, we never know what someone is going through, so exercise some compassion! They could be struggling with life changing events. Before trashing someone for poor service, try them again. We should only complain and give low stars if it's the businesses everyday way - then we know they don't care about y customers and we can take our money to someone who does. Compassion for all.

If you don't care about service or price, and you just want a good tasting cake, this is a good bakery for you. I think producing good cakes earns you two stars, just enough to stay in business. But I place great importance on friendly service which was totally lacking. I got no greeting when I entered. I got no smiles. When I complimented their fine penmanship on the cake greeting, they just stared at me. I tried to engage them in a discussion of their website but they declined. Furthermore, the website quoted a price of $26 for the chocolate mouse cake, but they charged me $37 with no explanation. Finally, the structure of the cake had a problem and it leaned to the side.
