“Wonderful experience! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by all of the flavors, the wine, and the service. We started waking up our palettes with the Bao buns served with smoked maitake butter and the clams…so yummy (we could have picked it up and drank the whole thing of broth). We then shared a cup of the maitake mushroom soup, another amazing choice. As if we weren’t full on those flavors, we ordered our entrees. My husband had the bratwurst and I had the homemade lamb and gnocchi dish…wow! Our wine selection went great with all of the dishes. I had their wine selection of the day, a sparkling dry German wine with hints of raspberry and strawberry. We highly recommend Adrift for both the food and the service!”

“We love Sandpiper restaurant. The atmosphere, menu and staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed dinner there on a super busy night. My husband ordered the rib eye with sautéed shrimp and the steak was cooked to the perfect ordered temperature and the price was wonderful for all he received (salad, steak, shirmp and asparagus, $55 ish). I ordered what was listed on the menu as the Sanpiper Jumbo Lump crabcakes. They were fine but definitely not jumbo lump. Backfin crabmeat at best. My mistake was only asking if the crabmeat was fresh and not specifically asking if it was indeed jumbo lump. The filler was flavored nicely. Will definitely eat here again but will just order differently.”

“My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Hope & Glory! The accommodations were beautiful and charming. We especially loved the flowers in the garden. The Inn was quiet and peaceful. The pool was perfect. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff is incredible and we could tell they put a lot of heart into making sure their guests have a welcoming and special stay. They make you feel right at home. We will spread the word and sure hope to be back again! Thank you!!”

Our 4- top table ordered clam strips, onion petals, ribeyes, crab cakes and sautéed shrimp and the salad bar! Homemade croutons - YUM! “We come here about once per week and often times order the same thing! Crispy Chicken. We love it. The staff is super friendly. The food is great. Clean inside. Fast service. Super reasonable prices. I have ordered a lot on this menu and really like all of it. A personal favorite is the Moo Shu Pork! Bar seems fun too but not for me!”

“All of the restaurants in Irvington were totally full and we were looking for a place that’s casual with great seafood. We found just that at KC’s.
Now we didn’t take part in the pool- but there were a ton of people playing. It’s nice because they have an adjoining room where you can eat and get away from the pool scene if you needed. We were good for all of it.
I did feel badly for the staff. Almost all of the tables were dirty so you can tell that not only were they short staffed, but they had gotten slammed just a bit before we got there!”

“Food tasted good and service was great! My party said the oysters and tacos very good! The reason for not giving 5 stars is because almost every dish involves a spicy element. I wish there was a variety of sauces you could substitute if you can’t have spicy food. Like a heat and non heat option.

For example. I thought I was safe ordering steak frites with homemade steak sauce (considering that I’ve never had a steak sauce that was spicy) the steak was cooked to order but the steak sauce surprisingly had a lot of heat. If you like spicy food this is your place, if you don’t then you might want to avoid.”

“True hole in the wall bar and grill in a one stop light town. Creaky wood floors, peeling paint, knick knacks on the shelves, this place has character. Food is a home run... why? Because they take everything an extra step. Example: grilled chicken at every other joint- rubbery frozen chicken breast on boring bun, soft lettuce, mushy tomato. Here: grilled pulled chicken, virginia ham, cheese, spicy mustard/ mayo on a buttered grilled Texas toast... bang ... now that's a party in your mouth. Try the other sandwich concoctions... every one is a winner. Nice, honest folks that work here. You won't be disappointed. Instead of spending your hard earned lunch money at some chain restaurant joint... come spend it at a legit mom and pop establishment. Side note: they're so honest, the name is even legit.... it is actually on the Corner.”
