“STB has the best smash burger I have ever eaten. Everything is consistently hot and toppings are fresh. Our grandson loves the hot dogs and both styles of lobster rolls are delicious. “Wow! Staff is excellent! Food was really excellent!! We got a second bowl of chips and dips and not even 5 minutes later our food was out. I had Pollo Jalisco. You have already seen what I said about the food, excellent! Flan was the best I’ve ever had! I never got below a half cup of sweet tea. The staff was right there before we needed to even ask for anything. All told we were done eating chips, drinks, and our entrees in 35 minutes. So we decided to get dessert. Still under an hour for a family of 4 and the price was also good for food and dessert in these times! They will be getting more business from us!”

“My family and I tried this gem today, and we were honestly blown away. I’m a restaurant industry veteran, and I can say with confidence: this is easily some of the best food in Urbanna. ​I had the 'Mother Cluckin' chicken sandwich (incredible flavor!), my husband loved his BBQ, and the tenders were a hit with our daughter. A huge shoutout to our waiter—he actually hand-made our lemonade, which was a refreshing touch you just don’t see elsewhere. We couldn't resist grabbing some strawberry ice cream, fresh cinnamon raisin bread, and a few tinctures from their shop up front. ​Everything was top-notch. My only heartbreak? We left our to-go box on the table! We’ll definitely be back for a round two.”

Every single bite and sip was on point. But what truly sets this place apart is the people. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful — warm, welcoming, and the kind of folks who make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. “It has a nice feeling of a small town cafe. The servers were great and the food was good. We come down every year for the Urbana Oyster Fest and always try to get at least one or two meals there over the 4 days we are here.”

“The ice cream and customer service were superb. My husband always gets vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and the sprinkle job was like no other. Sprinkles in the bottom and every inch of the top. Every bite was sprinkle heaven. Had to give a shout out!”

“We finally made it to Nicks I don’t know what took us this long to go?! But, so glad we made it there tonight!! Our waitress Ashley is such a sweetheart and yes, she calls everyone sweetheart!! The food was home cooking! I felt like I was at home!! I got the fried oyster dinner and my hubby got the hamburger steak with gravy! And we were told they have the best homemade pies so we took a chocolate meringue and a buttermilk pecan to go for a late night snack!! “Dinner with friends last night.. first timers. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Friendly service, fast service, prices affordable! Our 4- top table ordered clam strips, onion petals, ribeyes, crab cakes and sautéed shrimp and the salad bar! Homemade croutons - YUM! “I stop by for the first time today for lunch. And I got the brisket sandwich and smoked greens. And I have to say the food was amazing and the staff was so friendly! This spot is clean and fair priced. I highly recommend this spot.”

“True hole in the wall bar and grill in a one stop light town. Creaky wood floors, peeling paint, knick knacks on the shelves, this place has character. Food is a home run... why? Because they take everything an extra step. Example: grilled chicken at every other joint- rubbery frozen chicken breast on boring bun, soft lettuce, mushy tomato. Here: grilled pulled chicken, virginia ham, cheese, spicy mustard/ mayo on a buttered grilled Texas toast... bang ... now that's a party in your mouth. Try the other sandwich concoctions... every one is a winner. Nice, honest folks that work here. You won't be disappointed. Instead of spending your hard earned lunch money at some chain restaurant joint... come spend it at a legit mom and pop establishment. Side note: they're so honest, the name is even legit.... it is actually on the Corner.”

“My wife and I heard about this restaurant from some friends and we decided to try it out for lunch on a beautiful Friday afternoon. We got there at about 2:30 and the staff were eager to help and serve us. We were the only people in a very nice dining area which did not distract from excellent service. We order a glass of wine and a Draft beer. Full lunch menu and we order the grilled chicken sandwich and the Philly Steak sandwich. Both were excellent and well prepared. Also had some onion rings and fries and they too were great. excellent experience and we will return.”

“Stopped by on my lunch break cause it’s like the only restaurant with in miles so really didn’t expect much, but I got the meatball sub ands it was fresh, delicious, and most importantly real meat!! Friendly staff and good customer service. Definitely exceeded my expectations, will definitely come back if I’m in town”

“Three girlfriends and I stayed at the Tides Inn for a quick overnight stay to celebrate a milestone birthday , and one of the highlights was having our lunch at Fish Hawk Oyster bar. It’s delightful covered terrace overlooked both the pool and the river. I enjoyed a crab salad and one of my friends enjoyed her crab cake sandwich (so much crab, NOT all filler). The service was attentive even though they were busy. We enjoyed our day 1 lunch so much we returned for our day 2 lunch before we departed! There was a cocktail boat racing event happening at the resort so it was much busier. Their flat bread, salads, fried oysters were all delicious. We hit it at the right time and got a table but wait time grew to over an hour (due to the boat races) while we were enjoying our lunch. Management stepped in to help with service during peak times. Highly recommend if you’re near Irvington or staying at the Tides Inn!”

“For a small place the food has all the bang for the buck. First off I'm not a Chinese food lover, my husband is so for me to like this place says a lot. The dumplings r excellent, my very favorite & the orange chicken is great. Lightly battered with a slightly spicy orange sauce. My husband has enjoyed everything he has tried, Pepper steak, LoMein, Spare Ribs to name a few. We go on a regular basis. Never disappoints.”
