I gave 2 Stars because my husband had a burger he said was delicious. My experience was horrific. I ordered fish & chips. Thank goodness I don’t eat that much in one sitting because soon after I became very sick. Sweating, cramping & nauseous. I was on the toilet for basically the rest of the evening. I threw the remaining food away. This was a couple of months ago but felt important to post now that they’re moving hopefully this will help. Can’t pinpoint which item made me so sick but it’s between the fish or Cole slaw since I had a few bites of each.

Our server appeared to be frequently distracted by her phone, leading to infrequent check-ins and a lack of proactive engagement regarding drink refills, a standard practice that significantly influences gratuity.
A notable issue was the excessive saltiness of the greens, necessitating an effort to locate our server for an item exchange. Conversely, the appetizers were excellent, particularly the dip; however, we again encountered a delay in securing additional bread due to the server's inattentiveness.
As a first-time patron, I had anticipated a higher standard, given the establishment's reputation. Despite the restaurant operating at a low capacity of approximately five tables, the service was unexpectedly slow and deficient. In my professional experience managing multiple airport restaurants, I emphasize to my staff that exceptional customer service not only enhances the guest experience but also positively impacts their earnings and the restaurant's overall standing.
Furthermore, the visible congregation of kitchen and service staff in the front-of-house area presents an unprofessional image.
I intend to revisit, perhaps during the evening, in hopes of experiencing an improvement in service quality.

First time here. Service not the best. No hostess and took a while to be acknowledged and seated. Server was not familiar with menu and every question I asked, she didn't have the answer. When I asked about an ingredient, she walked away for a while. When she came back, she said she couldn't tell what it was made from because didn't show on the bottle of sauce.

I had the seafood duo and the shrimp were OK. Oysters were terrible. Mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. Broccoli was cold.
Over priced. Crab sandwich was a small crab patty on a buttered hamburger white roll. The roll was hardly grilled and the crab cake thin. Tomato slice looked pale and unripe. Cole slaw was just OK. I only ate one bite of Cole slaw and the crab cake without the roll, tomato and lettuce. The table edge was sticky / tacky and window sill dusty with dead gnats. Floor mat by inside entrance door needed a good vacuum. I won't be eating there again. RESPONSE to owner. I did eat there on Thursday and added photo of the crab cake sandwich & receipt. The only reason I did not give this one star was because my husband said the fish and chips were OK. Not the best he ever had and not the worst. And if the roll was not buttered, what was on it? Wasn't good, very greasy. I feel you assumed I did not eat there and I was disappointed in what I feel was an unprofessional answer. I hope in the future with other customers you will have a softer and kinder response. REPLY TO OWNER: Refunding my bill was not necessary as I did not leave a review looking for a refund. Wonderful place for lunch or dinner, everyone was very welcoming and food was wonderful. Owner was in dining room making sure everyone got what they wanted and even was helping clean off tables, happy to see owner checking on everything and helping staff.

Not a bad little place to go eat if I say so myself. We went early August when the travelers have disappeared. So, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves basically. The fish and chips was EXTREMELY good as it would even be better than the fish and chips in London. The service was stellar and the atmosphere was grand as there was many things to see inside this restaurant.
