7 Mares Mexican Grill

To start, seating was quick, which we appreciated. Our waiter was okay, not particularly friendly, but efficient enough. We received chips and salsa shortly after sitting down, but the salsa was ice cold, actually frozen in the middle, definitely not fresh, and that set the tone for the rest of the meal. One of our friends ordered the birria tacos, and they looked nothing like the picture and unlike any birria tacos we’ve had before. They looked dry, and the consommé was so thick it resembled a sauce more than a broth. When our friend politely let the second server know that he and his daughter didn’t like the tacos and asked to order something else, the response was shockingly rude. The server was visibly irritated and even slammed the plate down on another table a completely unnecessary and unprofessional reaction. That said, the rest of our meals weren’t bad. The fajitas were good, and the beans and rice were on point. Honestly, if it weren’t for the rude service, we could have overlooked the inconsistencies in the food. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left a bad impression, and we won’t be returning.

Lunch taco salad was packed with meat and so good.

We were visiting from NC. And we decided to stop here and try it out. The pictures of the food seemed amazing but once we started we received the food the seafood tasted like it was old and expired. The food was over seasoned and we had hair in the salsa. After we headed back to our hotel we all felt sick. I would not recommend this place for your first day to eat during your vacation.

Food was great like always but all I do is come in to pickup orders and the young man who works there consistently seems to always be in a bad mood and more rude each time to where last time when I asked for extra sauce when picking up the meal I physically heard him say bad words in Spanish about me and he threw his hands up and acted annoyed very unprofessional I don’t want to be harassed if I’m just trying to pick up my food and simply want to add extra flavor and he gets upset and shows it consistently where he even ignores most of what I say when I have to deal with this individual sad that he has to ruin a great restaurant’s experience so seeing that he was upset the owner kindly brought it out to me since he wanted to be unprofessional please do your job customer service is key

This is a constant of my wife and mine. Great service and a wonderful staff, who are friendly and very attentive. Food is excellent and always aplenty. Central location with access to everything. Definitely worth the stop.

Service was spot on for our large group! Food was good. Lighting in the restaurant was too bright for me, and cartoons playing on the TV at night was a bit odd.

I’ve gotten delivery and dined in at 7 Mares and have had an enjoyable experience every time. I usually get the AC Tex and it is so freaking good…food comes out hot and fast. My favorite Mexican restaurant in the burg. 😀
