It's been far too long since my last visit here, and I am delighted that today's lunch more than lived up to my memory! I ordered my favorite, the chicken Cæsar salad, and it was fresh, crunchy, and full of shredded rotisserie chicken. My dining companions had the steak-frîtes and the bœuf Bourguignon - the steak was apparently just a *bit* overcooked but the truffle fries are to die for. The bœuf Bourguignon was incredible, the sauce deeply flavorful and unctuous....
We have been here on several occasions for lunch and dinner. Always had good food and service. Saturday was the worst experience we’ve ever had. I ordered quiche: over cooked with a hard 1/4” layer of what I assumed was cheese, no cheese or bacon taste within the quiche. Husband ordered cassoulet (wanted lamb shanks but wasn’t available were we informed of that until we ordered which took at least 15”). The cassoulet was tasteless bowl of ??? In a world where customer service is dwindling, Blue Talon still gets it right. Personally, I can be understanding of “bad days”, but there she be a standard at every level of service in any type of business. That said, let me tell you how they made our visit extra special.
