We….care here yesterday for dinner and the server met us at the host stand with the host and didn’t even let us get seated before asking all these questions. We could tell something seemed “off”. Sure enough he got our drinks orders and went to serve them to us and the whole tray fell over. He reeked of alcohol. And seemed very very off. We ended up leaving before even ordering food. Had our kids with us and he was getting super close to our face when talking to us and again, the alcohol on his breath was super apparent alongside his actions and how he spoke.

The owner, Darin/Derrick (my hearing sucks) came over to talk with us. He was very personable and personally made my son's wings just to give him a different experience. He spoke about how he got started and you can easily see how much he loves his restaurant and wants to ensure everyone receives a great experience. We did! Food was awesome! Owner was awesome!! Go pay him a visit!

Never in my life have i ever written a negative review of a place, but if you’re going to offer what was expected to be free drinks to a bride and groom, and then hunt them down at a completely different bar afterwards to “pay their tab”, then don’t even offer anything to begin with. Super shady, not cool at all, yall.

The food was great! The pizza dough was outstanding. The most impressive part of my dining experience was the attitude of the staff. Although they were short staffed, the attitude, energy, and attention to detail was commendable. Plus, the beer was icy cold 👍🏻👍🏻

The drinks felt a little light but the Philly was really good. Tons of great choices on the menu!

We had a small issue, and I brought it to the owner. He handled it completely over the top, absolutely excellent. We both had burgers... the brickhouse and the Italian. Both were excellent, best burgers we have had in a very long time.

The bar tender, although we didn't get drinks at all, was great, he and the owner mgr checked up on us.

It was slow when we got there, not busy at all. Great food.

Thanks to the great attention of the owner we will be back.

Most horrible dining experience of my life! We took our neighbor here for her birthday before going to a local theater. Here is where EVERYTHING went wrong.
1. Nobody seated us for 10 min. The place had maybe 5 other tables of customers. When they seated us (by the front door), it smelled like my son’s football cleats after playing a game in a monsoon. Apparently they keep a huge trash can next to their tables. Disgusting.
2. My son, 11 years old, ordered an Orange Fanta (soda). The waiter brought him an Orange Crush. With vodka. When we told him that he brought our 11 year old an orange crush with vodka, he was genuinely confused and couldn’t understand our problem.
3. After bringing my 11 year old alcohol, he then brought him 2 Orange sodas that were both filled up half way and said “the machine is spitting out water so it’s probably not good”. Meanwhile, our 2 beers (not for my kids) were delivered warm without the waters that we also ordered.
3. Our pizza was literally thrown on our table by 2 other female waiters, without a pizza stand so it took up our entire table and the pizza was NOT CUT! Not one slice. When we told our waiter, he brought us a pizza cutter to cut it ourselves? WTH?
4. After receiving our uncut pizza and pizza cutter to cut ourselves, we still had no plates, napkins or silverware.
5. We then asked to speak to a manager (we asked the 2 females). Nobody ever came. Not surprising.
We have gone to the Brickhouse location in Newport News for YEARS, and will never step foot in one of these again. A complete waste of $75.

Had a wonderful meal of grilled chicken breast with Alfredo noodles and mushrooms with onions. My mom got chastised for asking for her plain cheeseburger to have cheese on it. I heard her tell man it was a plain cheese burger and he even repeated plain cheeseburger back. It came out as a plain hamburger so when he was called over to correct it, was very vocal rude to my mom.

We were seated for 2 hours and some people in our group never rec'd their food! The server was nice, but that was the only positive. The restaurant was not busy and everyone was waiting on food.!!the only exception was a table that came in after us, only had pizza and was done before any of us had food! No manager ever came to the table! Avoid this place!
