Gluten free carrot cake was really good. The cake batter was moist and had the right amount of carrots and cinnamon.

Easily the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Williamsburg. Visiting from Texas and heard great things about the bakery. Decided to try the restaurant and was the worst idea of my trip. Bakery is very good true to what they say, but just avoid the restaurant at all costs. Wasn’t busy at all inside. Food took almost an hour to get to our table to the point where we thought the waitress forgot to put in our order. quality of food was horrible, did not match the prices at all. Service was subpar. Food seemed microwaved. Just wasn’t good at all. Ruined my day

I stopped in 15 minutes before close to grab a quick snack. The first thing we asked was if they were still open and a young girl very rudely said yes but we close in 15 minutes then stormed off to the back. We opted to leave, but as we left she came back out and said “oh you’re leaving? BYE!”
We were in there less than a few minutes and if we got something it would have been before closing, so why would someone who works here be so rude?
my family has gone here for years for their to go foods and I recommend it for that. the service was really bad and that makes me not want to go back
Went here just because another restaurant in the same plaza was packed, and I am so glad we stopped in!!! The food was so delicious. It was as if my grandmother was in the kitchen cooking in her old propane gas stove. Everything had a savory homemade taste. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the coffee was delicious, there were no pretentious hipsters looking at you funny while you order, and best of all there were no college kids/bored house wives/work from home people taking up seats or tables with their computers, pretending to work while you stand there awkwardly looking for a place to sit. Yeah im talking about you 1607. Carrot tree kitchens is Williamsburgs hidden gem!

We did breakfast The food was very cold the butter on the waffle didn’t even melt that’s how cold it was the toast was barely toasted ( there was no brown on the toast) they didn’t have a lot of choices at all checked out the dessert area thought it was a bit pricey …

This weekend really means a lot to my family. Without Tammy and her incredible promptness and hospitality, we would have missed a special piece. I thanked her about a dozen times already but only felt it was important to vocalize it in a review. Monday marks 1 year since our Grandmother passed away. She had been coming to Carrot Tree for years and loved every bit about the staff, food and atmosphere. In addition, we're gathering to celebrate my Aunt, who cared for my Grandmother until her passing - birthday and her grandsons birthday. The weekend wouldn't have been complete without treating our family to the desserts we've enjoyed for years.
Tammy ensured the cake was perfect, as was the dessert tray. Thank you to her again and the rest of the Carrot Tree Crew🥕

Just had lunch at the Carrot Tree. The staff were wonderful and friendly even though it was super busy we got such great service. My lunch was so fresh and hot and simply wonderful. The carrot cake is really great too. They gave furloughed federal employees a free lunch and it was amazing. They were so kind and lunch was so wonderful....It will be the first place I go out to eat when we get a paycheck again. It is amazing to have such a kind local business. I do not have enough kind words to say.

Today we ate at the Carrot tree and the service was so friendly and welcoming. The food was so wonderful and fresh. They gave free lunch because we are furloughed federal employees who missed yet another paycheck. I was so thankful for the kindness shown. Also my lunch was amazing. I don't have enough kind words. Thank you so very much!!!!!
Please, please bring back the gluten free carrot cake to order. Nothing compares to this dessert with gluten free issues. I order the baby but would love to still be able to order our birthday 9 inch cake. I know prices have rose but please give us the option of paying and ordering. 🥰
Best carrot cake in the Tidewater. Huge venue with a fabulous array of dessert options. Staff were very polite.

Was just at Carrot Tree and had a lady by the Name of Terry that was disrespectful to me in the store where you buy cake’s and etc, and said you have been warned about bringing your Dog in which is a service animal and proceeded to talk about my service animal and myself to another customer we were asked to step outside with my service animal and set out with my Service Animal and one of the best Waitresses they had proceeded to bring us water and the menu and as Tammy was walking the elderly lady (customer) out she said to the customer yea there already had there Dog in here and now setting where there not supposed to be she said that there was a notice out on the patio I looked and looked and there was none I said to Tammy where was it and she proceeded to ignore and said that was there somewhere and walked back in the restaurant I’m a regular customer that pays like everybody else and was treated like 💩 They also need to be more loving towards there Employees and treat them with respect not animals on the street
