This place was great. We made a reservation for a Tuesday night while in town on vacation and it wasn't overcrowded at all. Our server was so kind and attentive while still giving us time to have a slower paced dining experience. The lobster bisque was okay, not a ton of flavor, but great with the croutons. The scallops were phenomenal; I don't think I've ever had such perfectly seared scallops that were not overcooked. The yellowfin tuna was spot on as well. The salted caramel cheesecake had perfectly balanced flavors. Definitely recommend this restaurant and would return if we're ever back in town.

Service, food, everything was on point and perfect. And how in the world do they sell such quality wine at basically retail prices. If this restaurant was close to my house, i would be there weekly.

Unfortunately the night we went, the AC was down (and apparently will be for 2 more weeks). So it was uncomfortably hot inside. I will say of course the AC breaking down is not necessity the fault of the restaurant, and it appeared that they had brought in a portable unit (one that I could see) and one table had a little fan (we were not offered one). I felt bad for the kitchen staff-they must have been close to passing out. My bigger gripe was the food. Two of us ordered the pork chop-which was thick, juicy and deliciously seasoned! I just wish more of it was edible! It was probably 60% fat. We each got 6-7 bites that weren't super fatty (and I do love some good fried pork fat-but this was over the top.) The other two in our party ordered the special Hangar steak. My partner usually orders his steak medium well-*eyeroll* however the server rightly suggested he order medium for the best outcome. He agreed. It came VERY well done—a shriveled up piece of meat. The other person ordered theirs medium rare and he was very happy. The service was top notch as it always is there. But for $600 all in for four people I felt it was not worth it-when 3 of us were disappointed with our food and the uncomfortable temperature inside.

Outstanding meal in casual, but elegant environment. We had the hanger steak with a mustard cream sauce and delicious halibut with a Parmesan Panko crust. All the sides were outstanding, and our server was friendly and professional. Couldn't have been more special evening.

We visited your establishment this past Friday, July 25th, with an important client, and unfortunately, the experience did not reflect the high standards we've come to expect from past visits. The dining room was very warm — it appeared the air conditioning was either not working or not functioning properly — which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Service was another concern. Our server seemed inexperienced and inattentive. It took 25 minutes to receive two cocktails and a bottle of wine. While two of us were actively discussing wine selections in her presence, when we placed the order, she asked my client, "What are you drinking?" — which suggested she hadn't been paying attention. Additionally, we had placed an appetizer order (two orders of fried oysters), but later she returned to ask if we were ready to order and whether we'd like to start with an appetizer. We had to remind her that the order had already been placed. We also had to ask about the specials, as they were not offered voluntarily. Overall, the service and food quality fell short of the exceptional experiences we've had during previous visits. We hope this feedback is helpful, and that steps can be taken to ensure the consistent, high-quality experience your restaurant is known for.

Food and drinks were all outstanding, as was the service. Easily one of the best meals of our vacation. Our only critique, and it's a VERY small one, is that the dining room was rather warm. Not sure if this was a function of the open kitchen layout, or an HVAC-related issue that evening. Regardless, we would love to eat here again given the opportunity.

We had an amazing experience at Cochon on 2nd. Wonderful service, excellent drinks and phenomenal food. The Gazpacho soup was crunchy and just the slightest amount of heat. Yellow Fin Tuna was fresh and cooked MR with delightful coconut rice and veggies. Spare rib and white bean cassoulet appetizers were huge and delicious! Highly recommend an evening here!

My favorite restaurant and go to place in Williamsburg. Consistently, presents outstanding food and great service with unique menu selections and drinks. Occasional live music.

This was our first visit to Cochon, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations for fine dining.

To begin with, the restaurant imposes an additional 3% charge for credit card payments, which they claim is to offset processing fees. However, this surcharge is waived if paying with cash. In a fine dining setting, this approach comes across as unprofessional and outdated. particularly in a time when most patrons rely on card payments. A more polished practice would be to incorporate such fees into the pricing structure, rather than placing the burden on the customer.

While the ambiance initially suggests an upscale experience, the restroom facilities tell a different story. The environment there felt more aligned with a fast-food establishment, down to the basic $1 hand soap, which was inconsistent with the restaurant’s otherwise refined presentation.

As for the food, it was a mixed experience. While the fried oysters were excellent, several dishes were noticeably over-seasoned. The shrimp was overwhelmed by duck sauce, the squid was overly acidic due to excess citrus, and both the fish and pork belly were far too salty. There was a lack of balance across the flavors, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal.

That said, the customer service was commendable and helped soften some of the disappointment. Because of the attentive staff, we chose not to raise concerns during the meal, as we preferred to avoid any disruption to our evening.

Wonderful Anniversary experience. The staff were top notch and friendly, the atmosphere was romantic, and the added details made it the most memorable. Would highly recommend this hidden treasure to anyone!
