We visited on a Saturday morning at 8:30am. About 1/4 of the inside seating was occupied. We were greeted warmly just inside the entrance— our host was bubbly! We were seated promptly at one end of a long table. Our waitress greeted us and was very friendly and joked with us as we noticed the mountain of baked goods on the bar. We ordered the pumpkin spice latte and dark chocolate latte, the strawberry cream cheese bear claw with bacon, and the waffle plate. The staff had some trouble with new espresso equipment, and experienced a rush of drink orders, so our drinks arrived a couple minutes after our food. However, they comp’d the drinks— we appreciated that! And the drinks were amazing! As was the food. Herself had the bear claw and bacon and raved about both. I had the waffle plate which featured a sugared stroop styled Belgian waffle with a cute syrup pitcher, bacon, a mound of scrambled eggs, and a piece of Italian sausage in a natural casing. The waffle was a bit heavy (not like the self serve waffle machines at discount hotels), but that is the style. Eggs were cooked to perfection, as was the bacon and sausage. The cafe decor is eclectic and geared towards artists, authors, and other creative types. There’s so much to see, it will keep you captivated for awhile. The staff even used to bring your tab in an old book (clever!), but switched to the vinyl thingy. Culture Cafe is a gem!

Absolutely incredible! The baked good are so good!! I don’t ask for any while there but the conversation came up with myself and I believe one of the owners. Irish butter on their bread is next level. Scott the Owner was incredibly friendly and the overall hospitality and vibe was authentic and inviting. Found our new favorite spot in Wburg. It was an easy walk from W&M campus, is a must-visit for us from now on. The decor and atmosphere are simply amazing—so much character! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. It's so nice to escape from the corporate feel to someplace unique and interesting.
The food was a highlight. We had the Salmon and Shrimp bowls were both delicious, and the coffee (we tried the cold brew and an espresso) was excellent. They have a well-curated menu with something for everyone. We finished with a bear claw and cookies which were perfect, if a little too big to finish!
We especially enjoyed the relaxed vibe and lack of crazy crowds, even at lunchtime. This is the kind of place you want to settle into and stay awhile (I think we were there over 2 hrs). We'll be back every time we're in town.

Super cute place that has a great vibe and even better food! We got the cheese curds, warm baguette with bree and the culture cafe burger. They were cooked perfectly and seasoned wonderfully! The service was top notch, and the love seat table has the comfiest seat in the house. Was ready for a nap after lunch! This is the perfect lunch spot and i cant wait to come back and try the breakfast!
