The food was amazing. We sat for a few minutes with no dinner utensils. A little loud but we'll be back for sure!

Warm, hospitable greeting, friendly and attentive service, wonderful craft cocktails, amazing menu of options (we went with the rabbit, pork belly burrata, pork chop & apples, braised chicken and veg, and trio of sorbets with dessert wine flight!), and an affordable, well-crafted wine list. Fat Canary was awesome. The food and drinks were exquisite. Staff was friendly and made great wine pairings. The special was fantastic as well as the pork chop. Will definitely be back.

We had such a wonderful experience at Fat Canary! The food was absolutely delicious - we tried the rabbit, the chicken, and the salmon, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The bread alone was to die for, and we paired everything with a fantastic bottle of wine for about $40, which was an excellent value. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole evening feel special. We first visited two years ago and knew we had to come back - and we're so glad we did. The experience lived up to our memories, and we wouldn't hesitate to return again whenever we're in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated promptly at our reservation time. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the dining area was cozy with a great atmosphere. Very impressed with the wine list and menu. We chose the halibut daily special and the beef tenderloin, which were absolutely delicious. I would also recommend starting with the pear salad. We were too full for dessert...that will have to wait until our next visit!

The Fat Canary has never disappointed us. It is always a treat to dine here and we travel in from Richmond once a year for the experience. Plan ahead, as reservations go quickly. They have a beautiful bar area to dine in as well. The menu is diverse and often I can't decide between 5 things! The goat cheese bread pudding is out of this world. The duck breast and beef tenderloin are fantasitc. Excellent wine and cocktail list to accompany a memorable meal. Enjoy!

Our meal was fabulous. The mozzarella with Virginia ham appetizer amazing. The halibut special over corn with chilis had just the right amount of spice. The scallops with polenta were delicious. My husband had the special eggplant soup which he declared so good he refused to share a bite!

Celebrated my husband's birthday. We shared the salad with pears and goat cheese...so good. I had the salmon and he had the braised short ribs. Food and drinks were delicious! We'll definitely be back.

My Wife and I made two reservations at the Fat Canary, 9/18 and 9/21, for our trip to Colonial Williamsburg because we enjoyed the restaurant so much on our trip last year. It did not disappoint. Both dinners were outstanding! Everything was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The Short Rib was the best I have ever had. It was seasoned so well and seemed to be painted with an unbelievably tasty sauce. We ordered the Macadamia Nut Pie both nights because it is a fantastic dessert. The Wines by the glass are outstanding and are generous pours. the Service was great!

We had a big group and our server did an amazing job. Food was excellent. Highly recommend.
