Went there a while back with a party of people.
Had to eat out of my lap or side ways cause quote “wasn’t allowed to move the tables”. For context our party was eating at several tables. I asked to move the table slightly to the left to fill in a foot of space so I can eat my food. I wasn’t allowed so I had a chair with no table to eat my food off of. This blows my mind to this day, I have never been at a place that offered food service with no table…. Terrible service but great food. Shame I was going here for years.

Meant to post previously.

Stopped on our way back to Richmond. We didn't receive a warm greeting but once seated our server was right there. Food was ample, although I felt a bit overpriced. As an example, the omlet didn't come with any side...had to pay extra for fried potatoes. Sausage gravy was luke warm but tasty. We would stop again but not make a special trip to go there.

An unpretentious but excellent place for breakfast and lunch. The food comes from the “southern cooking/pancake house” school of culinary science, and it’s all good (I’ve had almost the entire menu). The service is friendly and quick, and they recognize repeat customers (sort of Cheers with grits). As mentioned, everything I’ve had has been tasty, but a particular shout-out is the biscuits and gravy, which are fresh and quite good. This location is not open past 3pm, but its sister location in Williamsburg is open for dinner.

A great place to enjoy true American friendly service, good food and great tea or coffee without having to wait for condiments or friendly service. Great tasting fresh made food. Very clean and comforting. I highly recommend it!

One of the best breakfast places we’ve visited in a long time. Great menu to cater for all. Fast friendly professional service from Lee-Anne and the chef/cook. Sampler breaks fast choice highly recommended. Quick access from 64. Don’t miss out!!!! Just need a pillow to end it off.

Good food portions. Nice employees. Food was okay, I think it would have been better if the kitchen had constant orders. We went @ 12. It was slower. We had a table of 6 and all of our food came out @ the same time. Some eggs were not cooked correctly. But overall the food was good.

BurritoDumpling

Burrito says this is a solid breakfast diner and is about what you would expect from a breakfast all day place. Dumpling says solid hushpuppies and the ideal club sandwich. He says it was done perfectly. Burrito had the omelette with a biscuit. The biscuit was the standout on the plate. Burrito’s only qualm was that the place could have generally used a good all over scrub with a quality degreaser. We would stop here again, but would go out of our way for it.

I got the catfish and it was slightly undercooked. Most of the side items; fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, and Mac & cheese were not made fresh! I suspect the sides came from a box, packet or frozen container. If this restaurant were to switch to all farm fresh, handmade daily food, it would be great.
