Severely understaffed. Our order was not taken within 10 minutes of us being seated. Many of the staff were not doing anything at all. Food was sitting cold and unserved.

Bad dining experience. Our order took over an hour and it was undercooked and cold. We had to give our drink order multiple times, they got our food order wrong and it took another 30 minutes to get the check. I would recommend not visiting this location.

I understand Williamsburg is a tourist city and all but this has to be by far the worst IHOP I’ve ever eaten yet . I always order the crepe combo , this is why I come to IHOP to begin with came out burnt . And once burnt they are not the same . The sausage and eggs were okay but their crepes leave a lot to be desired .

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. It is just what you’d expect and it hits the spot.
Even tho I was finally helped by a kind gentleman, my initial encounter with a lady in a red shirt name Bertha was horrible. She was so rude and unhelpful, I almost gave her money to clock out for the day. IHOP needs to do better, because a worker that unhappy should not be greeting customers and making up her own rules about advertised promotions.

Cold and uncooked hashbrowns.
Messy plate of food like it was thrown on the plate. Pancakes were not what I ordered. I ordered the cinna-stack that was advertised on the table. I was brought plain pancakes. The bacon was undercooked and just thrown on the plate. The eggs were not even appetizing.
They were out of sweet tea. They didn't seem to be prepared or care at all.
The service was abysmal and slow for an empty restaraunt. The staff didn't seem to care about customer service or ensuring the meal was correct, done or presentable.
Should have known by the empty parking lot and restaraunt at 5pm and lack of sense of pride and service by the staff that this would be a horrible decision to eat there.
Dirty mens room.
$50.00 wasted at a disgusting place.
There appeared to only be 2 maybe 3 employees and No manager or hostess. Just wait staff and the cook. The best thing IHOP can do is close this store permanently or fire everyone including the district manager and their management team there.

We visited on Sunday, August 31. Our waiter, Sacario, was the only person on the floor taking orders and accommodating all the parties. One group even walked out about 10 minutes after arriving because they didn’t get service — which wasn’t his fault. There were other employees around, but they were more focused on taking cigarette breaks than helping. No shade!
This review is solely for Sacario because, despite the chaos, he never complained or showed frustration. He just kept working and made sure everyone was taken care of. His professionalism and work ethic really stood out — and he definitely earned the generous tip we left him!

I was in this place for over 45 minutes waiting on a pickup order. Unacceptable. Do better.
I absolutely loved the food, the service and overall our Server Ms.Mary. She’s amazing, she made sure we was okay, our food was great. She’s such a lovely, amazing, kind hearted & warm welcoming coming in. We laughed all while she was taking our order. Such an amazing personality. I highly recommend getting served by Ms.Mary.

We Dinned in. Food was good waitress was good. Had one slight issue. When the waitress went to pick up the order for our table another employee had taken the breakfast sausage. So had to wait longer for my sausage since cook had to cook more.
I’ve worked in IHOP before, so I know how the vibe & flow should feel - & sadly, it wasn’t given here
•Mannerisms: From the start, I was mid-translation for my mom & Ms. Tee kept talking over me. I had to stop her and say “pause” because hello, I’m right in front of you speaking. That’s basic courtesy.
•Service Flow: Yes, she was physically around, but she never checked on us proactively. No refills, no extra napkins unless they came rolled in silverware. That’s not the attentive, welcoming energy guests deserve if we’re being transparent here..
•Food: Our meals came out late & cold. Not all plates were brought at the same time even though we ordered together. I get that servers can’t control the kitchen, but a good server advocates for the guest - if the cooks send something unacceptable, it shouldn’t just be passed off to us
•The Worst Part: The pressure to leave - mind you, the place was slow & quiet! - She spun back to our table every 3 minutes staring at our bill. Dining should not feel like you’re being pushed out the door - it’s rude, uncomfortable, & unprofessional. On top of that, she even started brooming directly next to us while we were still eating at one point.
She tossed items onto the table instead of placing them, shoved things directly into our faces instead of setting them down, and overall gave off rushed, careless energy. With that much experience, that’s disappointing. This is customer service, not child’s play.
I still tipped because the job technically got “done,” but truthfully - it was the bare minimum. If I could, I’d leave nothing for how disrespected & rushed we felt. This all happened during the morning shift, which makes it even worse - breakfast should feel welcoming, not stressful ): God bless

Food was hot and delicious, The service was fantastic,( thats coming from a former Restaurant manager ) she was fast friendly and efficient. She did not hoover but was there on time every time. Really impressed with the improvements to the quality of chicken and peppers in the Fajita omelet. The pumpkin pancakes taste like fall especially with the butter peacan syrup. The new thick smokey salsa is delicious, Not like the old stuff. It was thin and not nearly as good as the one you are currently using. The portion cups were twice as big as I expected. All I could see was food cost. Lol. But super impressed for the value and experience. Willamsburg is the closest one and its almost an hour away. Welll worth the two hour drive round trip. We will be back. Still thinking about it a week later.

It was pretty standard food for ihop. All of our scrambled eggs were really over done though, nearly burnt. Our waitress was really nice. However it took a really long time for our food to come out. It was also kind of dirty.
