First restaurant I went to after a trip to Europe haha and what a perfect choice! Food portions are big and food is yummy :]Their tres leches isn't very good though— it tastes and has the texture of just a normal vanilla cake, which was a bummer

Saturday April 27, 2024 we came in after our football game ended. Roughly 20 people 40 minutes before closing. The ENTIRE staff was so gracious and helpful. Food arrived quickly and was wonderful. Drinks were very tasty. I apologize for bringing such a large group so late. Every game we play in Williamsburg, this is our go to spot, it has been for 2 seasons. Highly recommend!! This is truelly a 5 star place, but unfortunately, this didn't start off well... but recovered a little. The Host was less than friendly. The short girl was absolutely rude AF and that look she had on her face the entire night really was such a turn off. I mean, "fix your RBF" while making HER own table feel uncomfortable. We asked for a table, she said there were none, but half of the entire middle had plenty tables available and others were sitting in them when I went to the baño. She blew us off and walked off while my poor husband had to sit sideways in a booth and he's 66. He said he was too hungry to leave. The food was good, but the drinks were great so, maybe we will come back thru again, maybe not. I ordered 1 drink instead of 4. Luckily, our server was fun, but the bad first impression was already done. Employees can make your business or kill your business and we are those folks who drops $100 tips, runs up $300 drink tabs, and spends $1500 just on eating out every month, but I highly doubt it will be here. Stop hiring these speed bumps! People are real fed up with the whole generational attitudes these young folks are displaying more of these days. Bad for biz! Good luck...

Really great atmosphere and service! And the food had a real, authentic vibe to it. There were some really interesting and different dishes and they were loaded with flavor. This is not your same old, same old boring Mexican. Everything is vibrant and flavorful.

Fives across the board, and I don't give a lot of fives.We have been here 3 times over the last 2 years. It has been great each time. Today I had Jose's Favorito and MK had the Pork Belly Tacos. Both were wonderful; however she did say that Philip makes better pork belly.Whatever you say, Jose's is head and shoulders above the other Mexican restaurants that we have eaten at, except maybe one in Raleigh.I wish we had something like Jose's around New Bern.Come eat and enjoy. BTW the atmosphere is like a party.

I don't often go out of my way to write reviews, but this little gem I found in Williamsburg is just too good. Our hotel shares a parking lot with Jose tequilas, so our first night here we came out. I was blown away with the food and how reasonable the prices are. I definitely recommend to anyone visiting!

The restaurant was busy but we were quickly seated. The waitress was attentive and brought our order as requested. Both the food and portion size were great. My boyfriend said the chili colorado was the best he had ever had. We would definitely go back.
