As a Cuban who has lived in Richmond for the past two years, I have been so disappointed by the lack of authentic Cuban cuisine and false advertisement of such at certain restaurants. Ironically enough, having been at a “Cuban” restaurant for breakfast led me to research actual authentic Cuban cuisine, which is how I found K’Bola. We drove an hour out to Williamsburg just to have our cravings satisfied and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely delicious, 100% authentic, and the service is 10/10. We will definitely be coming back for more and don’t mind making the drive at all. So worth it!

We found this gem in Williamsburg and enjoyed several dishes and drinks.Our visit was on a weeknight and we sat at the bar.The staff was friendly and the service was fast. The food was piping hot and delicious.We will definitely return on our next visit to Merchant Square in Williamsburg.

We spent the day shopping at the outlets and decided to look for some caribbean spanish food. With a quick internet search, we found ourselves at K'Bola. The service was sub-par. We never got a refill or asked if we wanted or needed one. We never got a steak knife with my fiance dish. She had to ask for one. My food, the ropa vieja(pictured), tasted old. I only ate the rice (4-6 oz portion). The yuca was so watery and saltless (4-6oz portion). Whatever seasoning they tried to put on the yuca was non-existent, nowhere near enough. When they asked if i wanted a box, i replied with no. He said, "Why not? we can wrap it, you can take it home. I told him i didn't like it, and he replied with an "Oh too bad." He then proceeded to ask me where i was from, i told him dominican and puerto rican, which he replied with, "Oh, i see." I paid for the food i clearly didn't eat. My fiance likes her steak, and my kid loved the cuban sandwich. Im a restaurant manager and a Chef. Im very aware of how steps of service and gueat relations should be handled.
The food was fantastic! I am a big fan of the ham croquettes, I am going to try the fish ones next. I originally went to try the Cuban sandwich, I loved it so much I brought my coworkers 2 days later and we just ordered a bunch of random appetizers and food so we could all share. Such a good meal. The drinks are pretty dam good also.

The food was fantastic! I am a big fan of the ham croquettes, I am going to try the fish ones next.
