This was a delightful experience! My waiter was entertaining and well versed in the food. He made great suggestions on how to use the relishes and where to start on the entree'. Everything was delicious. My only complaint is that I ate too much!
The wait staff were very attentive and explained the history of the food and the tavern. Enjoyed eating in a colonial setting.
The ambience is an exquisite colonial tavern. The server did not only offer great service, but was like a historian as well explaining how the different foods and decor were period appropriate. The menu and food were a colonial feast and the drinks were amazing too. We love to go here every time we are in Williamsburg!
George was our Server and made the evening very special with his historical knowledge and attentiveness to service. We definitely appreciated being seated with older couples in our room. We would definitely recommend!
Fabulous! We haven't been back in a few years and they updated the menu with new offerings and each guest tried something new there and was raving all night about the history lesson that we got from the server that he integrated with service and the quality of the food was outstanding! Can't wait to come back!
My food was excellent, and my husband's food was less than excellent. He didn't care for the second course or the main course.
Our visit to King's Arms Tavern exceeded our expectations. The overall theming came across as authentic. The service was outstanding. Our server Miranda went above and beyond to ensure we had the best dining experience possible. The food was phenomenal. We highly recommend this restaurant and will retuning every time we visit Williamsburg.
My husband and I went to King's Arms Tavern for our 23rd wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The ambience took you right back to the 18th century. From the moment we walked in we were immersed in history. Our waiters put on an excellent program where we learned many interesting facts about colonial life in the taverns and what one might expect should they visit a tavern in the late 1800s. The waiters (all in period costume) also went over each of the menus (drinks, dinner and desserts) in detail and gave excellent recommendations. The food came out in a timely manner and was absolutely delectable. I highly recommend the salmon with crab AND the bread pudding for dessert. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've ever had. My favorite part of the whole experience was when the harpist came through and played beautiful music by candle light. Just a note, the tavern is on the pricey side but that's because you're paying for an experience, not just food. My husband and I have been coming to the tavern for special occasions since we've been married and we've yet to be disappointed. Honestly, you really do get what you pay for. It's worth every penny. The King's Arms and its staff provided us with yet another wonderful memory to add to our cherished collection from Colonial Williamsburg.
AMAZING experience, atmosphere, people - and the foooood!!!! OMGaaaawd. Stupid good. Peanut soup, like wtf, right? Nope. Delish! Got the Prime - and it literally was melt in your mouth stellar! Had the rootbeer, Old Stitch ale, salad, and the snow eggs. Best effing meal EVER! Then, to boot, the staff nailed it on everything! Miranda and Stephen rocked!!! I love you, Miranda!!! We’re inviting you to the wedding! Lol There was even live music!! Worth every penny. Cost less than a mani-pedi! What?!?! Top ten on my list!! Thank you!!!!
This place was an awesome environment, great food and drinks. Miranda and Stephen were amazing host and storytellers.

We loved our dinner here tonight! Our waiter, George, made the meal more like an event. He shared tons of stories and stayed to talk with us well after the dinner was over. The food was amazing but the service was even better!! Thank you George!!
We’ve lived in Williamsburg for many years and have had many good meals at the Kings Arms. We just had a dinner there for the Grand Illumination. Great salmon and prime rib. We had the best waiter we have ever had at the Kings Arms: Stephen. He was so attentive and thoughtful, and his thoughts about Colonial Williamsburg history were most entertaining!
FOOD -ordered beef, chicken dish, black eyed peas, crab coquette and peanut soup.
#1 food - beef dish and peanut soup.
Drinks - rootbeer, kings arm punch.
#1 drink - my daughter and I really liked the punch. Husband didn't because he says it was a little too citrus tasting for him. Rootbeer is phenomenal!
Dessert- bread pudding and snow eggs.
#1 dessert- snow eggs. This was my favorite dish and a must try!!!!
Service- excellent
Atmosphere- loved it especially the roaming flute player. My grandson loved this!

Salad was ok but chicken was so tough and dried out.
Not worth the cost

Onion pie, my new favorite thing. Light flaky crust, tiny shaved apples for a hint of tang, potatoes, yum. The crab croqettes were crispy, but i highly recommend the pie. The old world charm and gorgeous staircases make this a worth while stop. For just a bit more than the price of a sandwich in the square--or not-- you can enjoy a meal served by pleasant servers in period costume.
