So very nice. We had a yelp free appetizer. Everything was yummy. Was not a huge fan of the meatballs but i think it was just not my thing.we had the Ham and cheese sticks...so yummy. Olives and bread , eggplants. the Wine was amazing but I will say my first glass had half as much as the second one. I would go back for sure though. A fun night out.Next time I may shop for some Spanish wine

So, food was very good. However, the inattentive service was unacceptable. Very rude waitress (white hair). You know who she is. This is the third time we have had her. This time we were a table of six. Sat with empty glasses for 45 minutes. She talked with colleagues at the bar most of the night. Not sure why you put up with her. Hurting your busines.

Amazing place to relax after a massage or quaint for a nice date with your significant other. When the weather is nice, sit outside on the patio! First, I suggest starting with a pitcher of Sangria...if you're not driving get the LARGE. I prefer the red sangria, the wife loves the red and white. We always get the bread and olive basket...the bread is always fresh and is right out of the oven. The olives have seeds but are amazeballs! Second item is the Gambas al Ajillo...shrimp in a special sauce, garlic etc...this sauce is perfect for dinching the fresh bread! These first items are a must order each and every time you visit..just saying. First time trying the Croquetas jamon y manchego...croquette's were so good, there is tiny amounts of ham in it, and more fattyness than I like. i would suggest less fattyness and more ham in the croquesttes. Taste was amazing though. The last but of details on this review is the service...absolutely impeccable service, Thank You Susan W, for the amazeball service and kindness you provide each and every visit.

everything about La Tienda is amazing. the food, the service, the atmosphere. Try the eggplant, and the gambas with bread and olives.

Very romantic vibe inside and also very nice outdoor area in the summer time. Wed they have sangaria discount and drinks are very nice. Pretty good paella and calamari.

The food was fabulous, as always. The service was great too. The waitress was very helpful when we wanted to take a group picture of our "ladies' lunch." We particularly liked the half price wine bottles available on Tuesdays. Finally, it was a lot of fun to browse the shop after lunch.

Travel to Spain without leaving Williamsburg. Fine food with genuine flavors and the best ingredients. Attentive service. And the store, featuring everything Spanish, from cheeses and ham to pottery and sweets. This place is a gem.

What a gem in Williamsburg. Came on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside on the patio. We arrived right when La Tienda opened and there was a lining forming at the front door waiting. Service was a little slow but seemed they likely weren't staffed for as many people dining. We didn't mind the leisurely lunch sipping sangria (a must try) and snacking through their menu. I can't wait to go back and try the Paella. The stuffed peppers were our favorite and keep the garlic shrimp to dunk your bread in the sauce.

The last time we went here for my wife's birthday in March 2023, we were very impressed. We had a cozy little area with a personalized message at the table. So I was really looking forward to the same experience for my birthday. Tidewater area lacks a deep cultural dynamics when it comes to food choices, so drawing from previous experience with this restaurant I was really excited to take my whole family this time. We came early as we noted last time that the place gets packed. We were seated in a semi secluded area with a pretty good ambiance. The server was quick to take our drinks and the experience went down hill from there. Only two of our drinks came with straws, when asked several times about acquiring some straws it came nearly at the end of our one hour and forty five minute meal. We had ordered nearly all tapas on the menu and unfortunately only one type of paella was in the menu this time. Server stated that they just redid their menu. Patatas bravas were great. Calamari were not as I remembered as before, it was just ok. Croquettes were okay but nothing to rave about. Eggplant was just ok. Pork belly looked crispy but was rubbery. Green beans with ham were great. Paella was just okay nothing like I remembered in March. Bikini sandwich was nice. Churros were pasty and very dense in the inside but they looked great on the outside. Flan was good. Not too sweet. Despite the decline in food experience this time, it was the service that killed the whole meal. Straws never came. Refill of drinks took too long and was not even necessary by the end of the meal. After waiting so long for the dessert, we cancelled the remaining orders, which the server stated he would remove but it ended up being in the ticket anyways and later served as we were getting ready to leave. There was a definite disconnect with the wait staff and chefs. Also there were several items that were not available but still on the menu. Totally feel bad for the owner of this restaurant as experiences like this will greatly impact customers in the future. The place was not even that full this evening. I hope this is an isolated event because I was considering this the best tapas around the area from my experience in March. BTW, we had tried to come here before March 2023 but were turned away because we had no reservations and the wait was way too long. This evening we had travelled over an hour battling Friday night traffic just to have tapas in hopes we would receive the same experience as in March. Unfortunately, this was an awful experience for what was supposed to be a special meal. I understand fully that lack of servers has taken a toll on restaurant experience but if restaurants are to recoup the loyal visitors they had before, they must do better each and every time.

Absolutely recommend as this place transforms you to Spain! This is our go to spot in Williamsburg. Tried several of their dishes, all excellent! Garlic shrimp (and they mean garlic) is a must if you love seafood. I'd recommend ordering some bread with it as this tapa does not come with it and you will need to soak up the delicious sauce they are cooked in. We order the olive and bread appetizer with it, olives are very good, but not pitted, kept in mind. Can also get bread rubbed with garlic and tomato, so tasty! The other must is the eggplant tapa, fried but paper thin with a drizzle of honey. Have never seen or tried anything like this before anywhere else, so unique and flavorful! Other tapas and foods we tried here and all are absolutely delicious (in order of preference): chicken kabobs, tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned, fried potatoes, fried ham croquettes, crunchy outside with melt in your mouth filling, sautéed mushrooms, so good, special of the day soup, mine was ham and bean, pork meatballs as a tapa or as a half sandwich, ham (jamon) half sandwich, kid friendly, if needed, baked piquillo peppers and of course, paella. Their wine list is pretty extensive and they have excellent red wine, though their sangria is popular. Almond cake and churros are the best if you can still eat dessert after all the other food. I can not say enough how much we enjoy this place. The staff is great, very helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is just perfect, they do have outside seating too, on a gorgeous day, it is perfection, and the prices are just right, especially for the quality of food. I do not have pictures of all the food we've tried here as we were enjoying ourselves too much.

Our ladies gathered here for our luncheon and we were able to socialize and dine all together. They were very accommodating and even provided separate checks. Three of us shared the daily special Paella which was Chicken and Shrimp along with the Bocadillo, Jamon and Manchego. We were so pleased to share the eggplant that was lightly breaded and fried with honey added to it. Amazing time together. Liam took such excellent care of all of us!

Great variety on the menu, some things better than others. Carson was great and have no complaints on service. Calamari was not great, and ham and cheese croquettes were good but very little ham. Paella was good as was chicken skewers and lentil salad.
