I don’t write food reviews and the idea of taking time to write one on amusement park food, where the bar is often low to begin with, is even less appealing. After doubling back to this place because the smell was amazing, we ordered the Southwest fries, only to have my palette ravaged by something that was barely edible vs. the “gourmet fries” they advertise.
The fries themselves seemed to be totally unseasoned. I would have assumed they should have at least been salted, but they were totally devoid of seasoning of any kind.
The southwest came with watered down liquid cheese (imagine the cheapest cheese sauce you’ve ever had, then add 1/4 cup of water to lighten the flavor even more), a small scoop of shredded chicken, a smaller scoop of thin pico de gallo (which might have watered down the cheese further), and a scoop of sour cream.
When I say scoop, I am referring to the 1 inch cookie balling scoop that they use there (not even ice cream scoop sized). The condiments were all missing or “out of order” in their self service area as well, and I couldn’t get ketchup because the pump was broken that day (and other days I suspect).
This was honestly the first time I bought amusement park fries that were “not salty enough” and left me hungrier than before I ate them. 😞

Was super exited to get some poutine but apparently they close at 5:00 and not 5:30 like the app says. However, I think I dodged a bullet because the pictures do not look good and the reviews are crappy. 🤷🏼‍♂️

We tried these once and unfortunately didn’t enjoy them. Even my kids, who love fries, wouldn’t eat them they just ended up in the trash. We also waited in line a long time to try them, which made it even more disappointing. Definitely not something we’d get again.

I got the bacon and cheddar cheese fries and I don’t enjoy it. It would be batter it they had used melted cheese.

For a place that only has three things on the menu you would think the line would move fast but....nope. fries are not homecut as advertised but ok. The bacon was not thoroughly cooked. $15 for some loaded fries whew.. but cheaper than other places inside to eat.

Not handicapped equipped. My father couldn't exit out and had to go back and cut through people.

Fries were not "fresh cut" as advertised everywhere. They were frozen standard fries. The bacon was barely cooked, food service bacon. I was told to get the cheese sauce, because the shredded cheese came unmelted. Staff was great! Food was disappointing. Not the employees fault, they were instructed to serve sub par fries with sub par ingredients. I want my $12 back!

Their bbq fries are really good! They come with Cole slaw. We dump the slaw out on the fries and put a dash or two of malt vinegar on top and boy it makes the flavors pop. Don't expect to find much seating in the way of a table. Especially on busier days. It's definitely the kind of food you walk around with and enjoy while waiting in line for the Griffon or just walking around the park. I also think this place qualifies for the all day dining pass that BG offers.

We always have to get the poutine on our trips. They are big enough that my husband and I can split one.

Use to be my favorite. They changed the way they make them and they are awful. The store cream is now single serve containers and kills the taste. Haven't tried three other ones but doubt I will. So sad but par for the course on food items at BG.

I was super upset that when we went in October this place was closed down like half of the other food and drink places. I've been wanting to try this place because I heard such good things. One of the busiest weekends of the year and they were so understaffed they couldn't open some of the most popular food spots?! They should be embarrassed!
