My husband really enjoyed stopping at the veteran’s lounge. They have free water and coffee.

Great experience! We had a former Marine helo pilot check us in and a great hostess (Pat) get us a coffee and cookies. If you are military or former military and looking for fellowship, this is a mandatory stop.

Nice people, warm clean place, and delicious hot chocolate.

A wonderful place for Active duty and veterans to relax in Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg is a living-history museum presenting a part of the historic district in the city of Williamsburg, Virginia as it was in the past with period people and the buildings as they would have been. You can drive and park in one of the many parking lots and visit for free by just walking around. If you want to get the most out of your tour you can visit the Visitors’ center located about ½ mile away or visit the Lumber house and buy a ticket that allows you access to more of the shops and sites inside the town. There is a lot to see in the city whether you have a ticket or just want to walk around. A hidden treasure that I found while walking the city on my journey of discovery was the Liberty Lounge. This is on the north side of the E Duke of Goucester street. It is in the building to the west of the Silversmith shop. You have to walk next to the building as the entry for the lounge is on the side farthest from the street. If you are active duty military or a veteran they offer free snacks or drinks like tea. If you happen to have a coin from your unit, that would be nice as they have a good collection and can always use more. There is a sign-in book. The staff was very nice, pleasant and helpful. It consists of 2 rooms with lots of memorabilia and sitting areas. It is a very nice place to relax if you are visiting the city on a cold or hot day.

Great stop for veterans. Has small activities for little kids. Bring a coin to donate, and enjoy ahead air conditioning

Great respite on a hot day. Cold water, hot coffee, clean restrooms and a warm smile! It doesn’t get any better for a serviceman than that! The last picture is James MacDonald who won a cycle racing award—-connection is that his wife is with my wife who is also pictured all three are Vets!

Love the lounge. Have visited in the past. Did not feel welcome this time as we ( both retired veterans) had not purchased Colonial tickets this visit.

Nice little respite from hot weather and lots of walking. The lady complaining about not "feeling welcome" needs to realize that it's not some place where you just go and hang, it has a SPECIFIC MISSION. You want to go and just hang, go to the Legion.

So neat!! Grateful to find in the intense heat.
