Ordered chow mein and received soggy, slimy vegetables with white rice. I figured they messed up the order with someone else’s so I reordered. Once again I got the same thing. So I called to speak with a manager because I am now almost 25 dollars down the drain. They say there isn’t a manager so I tell the person on the phone the issue. He responds by saying “lo mein is the one with the noodles.” To everyone who loves Chinese we know that both chow mein and lo mein have noodles but are just made differently. There are also photos online under this store that shows the chow mein has noodles. I am very disappointed with BOTH of these experiences, and I hope I save someone else from having the same experience I had. Please to any staff members that read this, learn what you are cooking.

Never had a problem lady's in the front are nice. Food is always perfect and exactly what I asked for and tastes perfect moved from New York and this is the best replacement for Chinese food.

We had good experience the first two times ordering carry-out.Both were beef.Today the Mongolian beef dish had fatty, cheap meat in it.You just could not eat it.You wonder if they are trying to save money. And do they try their own food?I am reluctant to order any beef dish again,

The food was fresh and ready in minutes. For a take out only Chinese restaurant this one is the best in Williamsburg. Not greasy like other places. I got the Szechuan shrimp combo and requested extra spice. The spice level was perfect and the price of $14 for the combo with the wonton soup was great.

First time with takeaway tonight using Chownow...Chicken curry was the best I've had since moving here although it was weird to be delivered in a cardboard tub instead of the usual plastic containers.Teriyaki chicken - not so good. Seemed to have a breading on it and was quite fatty. Also, it's normal to have it arrived in a stapled bag but this arrived all laid in a small box. Better hope you get a good delivery person...Everything else seemed ok. Will go back for the Chicken curry though.

I ordered delivery and it was delivered pretty quickly. As for the food I would not recommend this place and I will probably not go back. I ordered the General tso Chicken and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were good and it was a good sized order. The Chicken was horrible. It had no flavor. I ordered it spicy and it was not at all and barely enough sauce to even wet the chicken. The rice tasted dry and had no flavor either. They need to take some pride in their food and do better.

I ordered through DoorDash on 8/19/23. I haven’t returned since. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken. It was both dry and soupy from the overpowering of the sauce. The food itself was dry and without flavor. The egg roll that came with it was also cold and dry. The broccoli that came with it was also overcooked.

misscuff

Food, was pretty decent. Although overpriced $8 for a small rice is a bit much. I got 2 small containers of fried rice, chicken and pork, both full of onions, huge slivers of onions. Cashier so stern faced. I think I'll stick with Top China in Lightfoot, so pleasant and friendly.Parking: Great parking, walk right into store.

Even as far as takeout Chinese goes, this place is pretty subpar. My beef and broccoli was drowning in sauce and the rice was incredibly bland. The egg roll was terrible. When I saw a carton of eggs on the floor in the kitchen, that’s when I gave up and threw out my food.
