The bartender was pushy for some odd reason. I had just sat down at the bar and had not had a chance to look at the menu and the pushing started immediately. I decided to head to my table since reservations were made.

Got the oscar 9, ordered medium rare 12 oz expecting juicy and flavorful filet. Instead I got an overcooked medium to well done steak that was dry and tough and only in the very middle was it pink but the rest was pretty grey. Very disappointing considering the price point and I couldnt even enjoy a good steak on my birthday. Would not come back again and it's sad that even high scale steak restaurant will disappoint you with not knowing how to properly cook steaks to peoples liking. Mashed potatos didnt taste like garlic at all, they werent hot at all when coming out and were dry and brittle. Never been to a restaurant where I would rather not eat the food because it's been prepared so poorly but there's a first for everything unfortunately.

Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Would not give the food more than 3 stars. Lack of seasoning and massively overpriced for what you get. Dont be fooled by the price thinking your getting better or more. Dinner specials are the only way to go. More for less price!

My husband and I enjoyed his birthday here - steak was perfect - smash burger yummy. Great service.
I was soooooooo disappointed yesterday. Opus 9 is one of our favorite places. This was a girls day celebration of birthdays and it was such a bad experience. First of all it took way over an hour to get our food and finally when it came the steak was overcooked on the salad. The monte criste was cooked so much that my friend couldn't eat it. Then when she told our server, she didn't even offer her anything else or to compensate for it. We ordered bananas foster for dessert and I've had it before and it wasn't as good which was a huge disappointment. Overall I'm just really disappointed. I cater to this restaurant all the time but I'm not sure after this experience. So sorry this has to be a bad review because I always raved about your restaurant.
Usually very good total experience at Opus, but this time a new unexperienced waiter who needs a lot other training!!!
This is my second time dining here. This is fine dining at its best. PLUS! They have a special on Sundays and Mondays, which is 1 of the reasons why I wanted to dine here again. Everything was delicious! I didn't have dressy attire with me, but I didn't feel uncomfortable. This is a great place for date night!
Had the Chateaubriand for two. DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEElcious! Great service and didn't feel rushed at all.
First time diners. Lovely restaurant that qualifies as fine dining or a special occasion. Service is professional and our waitress was polite, pleasant, familiar with the menu and willing/able to make recommendations. For the appetizer we had caesar salad which was fresh and included lots of cheese. For the entree we ordered the chateaubriand for two. It was excellent and well prepared. Staff made sure to check whether everything was prepared as ordered including meat temperature. Our meal was so nicely presented and served that we overheard another patron ask their waiter "What is that they're having?" We definitely will return when in the area.

The quality of meat was not up to par. Peppered scallops were over peppered, ordered a ribeye (medium) and received it well done and dry. Had to sent it back. You would think coming to a upscale steak restaurant and paying $73 for a steak, you would get what you asked for the first time. We have been to the restaurant a number of times and I was very disappointed with the overall food.

We were visiting the area and looking for a an excellent dining experience. We were a party of 5 with 2 kids 7-9 and 1 small toddler 18months. They made our small family feel right at home even in an elegant restaurant. Very happy with our experience and service. A+++ from us.
I was completely disappointed and honestly saddened by my entrée at Opus 9 in Williamsburg. I ordered the shrimp stuffed with crab meat, and for the price—over $40—I expected much more. The dish came with seven medium shrimp that looked boiled, with no seasoning at all. Not to mention a couple of lettuce pieces and the mac and cheese lacked seasoning. The crab stuffing was also bland and lacked any flavor. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, this entrée was far below par and truly surprising. I could have done so much better for a half of the price.
On a positive note, their homemade honey butter was incredible, and our server, Meaghan, provided excellent, attentive service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the entrée itself did not match the quality I anticipated.

The resturant was very nice, very quiet, the service was good, I liked how the little booths had you sitting next to your partner, very good for date night
