This a classic deli, old school, full of William and Mary sports memorabilia. It’s across the street from the school. Food is delicious - pretty much all of it - and abundant. Rolling Stone calls it one of the best delis in America. My wife loves the Delly sub. The Baked Italian is enough for two. And a Greek salad with grilled chicken is a favorite of mine. But, really, it’s all good.

Needed something to eat kind of late found this gem.i ordered an Uncle Paul's hoagie. It was delicious. The staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area

I was disappointed with the food I’ve got. I had to throw it away. I was visiting Williamsburg and it happened to be in the area. We stoped at the place and we ordered a soup for my wife and a chicken pita for me. $14 backs for just a pita and $8 for a small cup of soup, $8 for a very tiny salad. No sides with sandwich. The pita had only four tiny pieces of chicken lettuce and a few chopped pieces of tomato with pita sauce. The flavor was bad because of the watery pita sauce and the iceberg lettuce. The soup was kinda different than I was used to from North Carolina. Very expensive for what we got and no flavor. We tried another restaurant on another location and it was excellent in comparison to this one and it cost less too. I have to point that it was a bit dirty at the time we visit it. We thought it was a busy time or something. I have tried a ton of restaurants on all my trips through the years this was bad. I have not tried anything else from the menu but after this I would not do it again. I guess it was a bad day.

Parking: No on street parking. Have to park in the lot behind the building.

Crab cake sandwich is fabulous, and HUGE.

Parking: There is an easily overlooked, narrow driveway at the left end of the building as you face it from the street, that leads to a fairly spacious lot in back. The lot is gated off for employees only after 9pm Thursday - Saturday; if you're already back there when they close the gate, just pull up from inside (leave room for the gate to swing towards you) and then ask the security guy at the bar there on the corner to open it to let you out.

I was served the wrong dish, also wasn’t told there wasn’t going to be a side of rice after in inquired. Then when I received correct order there was no taskiki sauce with my Gyro platter, salad no dressing. I had to go the counter 3/4 times to ask for items that should have been included n my meal.

Wow what a gem. Everything we order was extremely delicious. Best calamari with the homemade exquisite marinara sauce, the Lamb Gyro was amazingly tasteful, top notch Steak & Cheese and last but not least the homemade Chili soup hit the spot. Highly recommended and looking forward to return when we are back in the area.

I looked up this place online after a restaurant said they were “out of Ruebens.” WHAT!! I got take out from this place, thought I would give it a shot. I’m a Ruben nerd and know a good one when I eat it. Needless to say this is one of the best. I would recommend it to anyone that likes Rubens. Also ordered the wings, which were also very good. Not taken back by the atmosphere, it a bar!!
