I love to grab BBQ when we're in the area. The only thing its always something missing from the order. It shouldn't be that hard to cross check. I made sure I checked today, however with a line waiting I missed one item I said in my order.
It would be a GREAT IDEA to check eack order with your guest on to go orders like some establishments do!!!

I’ve always had good food here when I’ve come after a trip to Great Wolf Lodge - the only detractor is the limited seating because it’s always so busy! If the weather had been nicer it wouldn’t have been an issue, but it’s a rainy February day.

It was just ok. The food came pretty fast for as busy as they were and everything was clean. The BBQ sandwhich was OK not the best I have ever had. I am not sure I really like the sauce it was made with either cinnamon or all spice which to me doesn't go well with BBQ sauce. The fries and the onion rings were just plain. The people were nice but I would not come back here.

Disappointed. We have read several reviews from various sources who rave about the place. One site says it's the 3rd or 4th barbeque restaurant in Virginia. So, we decided to drive from Mathews (over an hour) to try this out. We have to disagree.
I ordered the small rib dinner, and it was dry and very chewy as though they reheated leftovers from the previous evening. Almost took it back. I had collards as my side, and they were fine but did not stand out from the crowd.
My wife ordered the pulled pork dinner with onion rings and hush puppies. The pork was tasteless and the onion rings were well over cooked, and the hushpuppies were actually greasy.
The place was crowded on a Saturday at 11:30. I noticed that most people were eating sandwiches so that may be the way to go.
The bill was $63. Seems a little steep. We definitely will not be driving an hour to Pierce's again.

Great food if staying in Williamsburg or continuing on to hampton roads or obx. Outside picnic tables. Plus limited inside dining. Consistent quality and service.

Food was not good at all. I got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and collard greens. The coleslaw was so bland it tasted like it came from the ground it was picked from. The collard greens were even worse than the slaw, they tasted like they were soaked in butter and that’s all. The pulled pork tasted like vinegar and bbq sauce. If you are like me looking for food with F L A V O R this place is not it. Save your money and go else we’re

Not nearly as good as some, and very overpriced. Very small portions. A darn shame this child size plate was $17
