Great experience start to finish! We were welcomed by April when we walked in, placed our orders at the counter for dine in and April brought the food to us when ready. Food looked and tasted amazing (Italian Stallion for my husband, cheesesteak in a bowl for me). Generous portions so we had leftovers which were equally good the next day. Clean restaurant, delicious food, great location, friendly staff..win win!
Always friendly service and great food!

We have passed Rick‘s so often since moving here a year and a half ago. We love a good cheesesteak, but somehow never tried this place.
The reviews were 4.7 out of five stars so we gave it a shot. We ordered the classic Philly cheesesteak and what came look like hamburger helper. We ordered steak mushrooms, onions, and cheddar cheese and it was disgusting. Everything was just mixed together and the cheese was overwhelming…we could taste nothing else. My husband and I split the 12 inch and ate about 2 inches each.
Perhaps Rick needs to go to Philly to see what a real cheesesteak is. Very disappointed.

Door dash order. But that’s no excuse to serve hardly any meat in the egg roll, left the cheese off my cheesesteak, asked for mayo - may have been 1/4 of a teaspoon, fries weren’t cooked all the way.
Food was mediocre, burger was under seasoned and a bit expensive. Empty restaurant and it took 30 minutes for a single burger. Staff were a little rude.
“Philly in Williamsburg – Without the Drive” Rick’s Cheesesteak Shop in Williamsburg is a hidden gem just steps from the historic district and across the street from William & Mary. I ordered the Italian Cheesesteak sub, and let me tell you—this is the closest thing to Philadelphia authenticity I’ve had outside of Philly itself. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, piled high with tender shaved steak, onions, peppers, and topped with a tangy tomato sauce that was nothing short of spectacular. Pair that with crinkle-cut fries—made even better with a splash of malt vinegar—and you’ve got a meal worth writing about. The service was warm and attentive, and the outdoor seating made it the perfect casual spot to enjoy Williamsburg’s charm. A fantastic stop whether you’re visiting Colonial Williamsburg or looking for a student-friendly bite near campus. Highly recommended!
Yes. They do give you a lot of steak, but the taste is so bland. At least throw some Montreal seasoning on it. Folks think it's good now if you do that it's really gonna do well. I give it a 6.2 out of 10
Really good food, a little more than I usually spend, but you get alot for your money!

We’ve been coming to Rick’s for years. Their cheesesteak does Philly proud! Newly renovated and more spacious.

Was searching for good food while I was visiting Virginia for Busch Gardens and heard about how good the cheesesteaks were here on reddit and they did not disappoint. The few times I had tried cheesesteaks I was never that impressed but this place definitely won me over, good food and great value for what they give. Definitely worth a try if you are visiting Williamsburg.
Definitely has gone down. Was elated to stop by Rick’s since I was in town and was disappointed. The steak was dry and not flavorful at all. The crinkle cut fries were so good. My wife said the ruben was just ok
Seems like new owners was kind of disappointed ☹️

They could consider warming the rolls before adding the filling. Other than that, it was a very good cheesesteak at a reasonable price.
