Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

We go get a custard and italian ice. The custard is smooth and creamy. The ices are made with real fruit flavorings. My favorite is the wild black cherry. It contains pieces of cherry in the ice. It can get crowded at times especially on weekends but the staff is efficient so wait times are normally short. They have chocolate and vanilla custards at all times but in the summer have a special third flavor.

I'm from GA where this is hard to find, so I don't come up north without getting some ice. I've been coming to this Rita's long enough to still have a punch card in a drawer somewhere. Never been disappointed here.

Ordered 7 items total. One was a large custard, unfortunately it looked smaller than the small custard the person in front of me ordered. I pointed this out to the worker and they responded with "that is a large". There is a lot more custard in a small Gelati than in the large custard. Wont go to this location again.

Seating options are limited at times during the peak season and wait times can be increased, but these are both to be expected. Staff is always friendly. Items are always delivered as ordered. I appreciate the fact I can trust there's no cross contamination between the ice and custard secondary to a dairy allergy.

This is my favorite Rita's Ice & Frozen custard location ( Monticello in Williamsburg). My favorite is the layered ice and custard (cotton candy flavored ice with vanilla custard is so yummy!

Visited the Williamsburg Rita’s for the first time tonight. It was busy but line moved quickly. Was greeted by Allison with a big smile and very friendly. Lots of great choices. Will definitely return.
