Very nice wait staff spot on. 100 dollar deposit that open table was not applied to the check
This place was so good we returned a second night in a row. The chateaubriand was simply the best steak we've ever eaten (enough for two), oysters Rockefeller to die for, great wine selection, and the "beehive" baked Alaska, totally unique and fabulous! Attentive, helpful, and friendly service. Beautiful, quiet classical music in the background. We wish we lived closer to the Williamsburg Inn so we could go back occasionally. Pricey, but worth ii for the occasional splurge even is you're not made of money.
Wait staff was very knowledgeable. Food was fantastic. Pianist was great. Nicest valentines dinner I've had
Hands down the best food and overall dining experience we've had since moving to the Norfolk area. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors of each dish perfectly complemented each other. On the expensive side (though worth it) for most people to eat here regularly, but absolutely a go to for those special occasions. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit.
The general vibe is great, but a couple things which we found unacceptable, and frankly….insane!!

1). Took forever to get our drinks from the bar, while we were at our table !!???
2) little things like getting more water, and asking for extra plates took too long!!?!
3) food was delicious but not hot enough!!
This is not rocket science! These are basic things, that any restaurant should have down pat!!!
For spending $1300 for dinner there, we will not go again. Service and food should be impeccable. No excuses for what we experienced. Wouldn’t recommend

Our meal to celebrate several special occasions was wonderful. Our server, Sarah, was awesome and gave us exceptional attention. Each of us had a great dinner.
I was there for the Christmas dinner. The food was excellent and my server was very attentive.
My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We each ordered one drink, and one entree. No appetizers or desserts. We were there for TWO HOURS. The service was so slow. My empty drink glass sat on the table for the entire time. Husbands empty water glass wasn't refilled until halfway through his meal, which was quite a wait to receive. His plate was served to him first before mine. Definitely expected more since this is an “upscale” restaurant. The food was phenomenal however, but overall I don't think we will be back.
Wonderful bread service. Asparagus delicious. Pork chop nicely done. Service excellent. Dining room could be a little more elegant to match the foyer.
This is what those more famous steak houses think they’re providing. Fanciest restaurant I’ve ever been in and good to match.

A pretty good restaurant in Williamsburg, but over priced. Definitely not equal to their Google rating. Had the chateaubriand, scallops, and Caesar salad. Chateaubriand needs a hot plate to help keep it warm. Ours was a bit over cooked. Scallops were good, 2 very big ones. Cheese platter was ok, a bunch of blueberries on it.

What a fabulous restaurant!! So incredibly innovative and the homage paid to both the south and our colonial heritage was amazing! Stephan our server was a friend by the end of the evening. We are going to make this an annual journey. Hats off to the female chef!!!!!

The Rockefeller room has a worn and comfy feeling when you sit down.
The Piano playing, the servers working together, the smiles on everyone's faces.
The food is unmatched, when I tell you, just order what you are feeling for. You will enjoy every moment of it.

What an exceptional experience! Service was impeccable. Dinner was delicious. The restaurant surprised us with a dessert platter with Happy Anniversary wishes written on it. A special thanks to our server, Karen!
The only choices were either a three or five course dinner with limited selections in either case. In other words you could choose one from course one, one from course two, etc. In addition the choices were too exotic, or perhaps refined, for my taste. To top it off, the choices were expensive. My wife chose the three course meal and I chose the five course, both coupled with the wine paring. Total bill was $441.
