My family visited this restaurant 3/7 and were kinda disappointed. The reviews online looked promising however, once the food arrived it was a disappointment.

I started with the a cranberry orange mule which was good and my wife ordered the “bees knees”. My wife’s drink was overly sweet and had an earthy taste.

Dinner was started with the fondue pretzel which was honestly the best thing. Me and my wife had the 2nd Street Burger which, on paper, looked great but was severely under seasoned. The onion rings, which were recommend, were not seasoned either and were slightly undercooked.

On top of this, the waiter took a significant amount of time in between their status checks.. Thankfully the waiter himself was very respectful which didn’t make it as bad.

Overall, we were probably better off getting food at a chain restaurant. Won’t be recommending this place to friends or family.

I had French onion soup. It was delicious. Lots of cheese! And loaded corn bread with honey butter served hot still in the skillet! I also ordered the veggie burger. I asked what was in the burger the waiter said garbanzo beans #allergygirl I thought great I can eat those! But when it came there were lots of other things in there (I know my fault for not being more detailed in my questioning). The waiter could not offer any details even after going to the kitchen. Better safe than sorry I decided not to eat it. The waiter made it easy by taking it off my bill.

We’ve met our family and cousins here several times and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Tilly was our waitress tonight and she’s awesome - gave her extra tip on top of the 20 percent because of her attention to our table and picky eaters 😎😍

We had a wonderful experience at Second Street American Bistro! Tilly was our waitress and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered what she recommended and both dishes were amazing, the jambalaya and the crab piles. We look forward to visiting this restaurant again next time we are in the area.

What a WONDERFUL find for our first night visiting Williamsburg! We're on a mom/ daughter trip for a few days, and this came recommended on a CHATGPT search! We absolutely LOVED the Brussel sprouts appetizer, and the yummy bowl of clam and corn chowder! So many amazing dishes to choose from. I had the Fig and Pig flatbread - WINNER! And my mom loved her Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese salad! Boran was such a friendly, attentive server- THANK YOU! With our delicious glasses of sauvignon blanc, we could not have asked for a better experience! Wish you were in Texas!

Very comfortable, friendly places with tasty food. Our server, Brianne, was excellent: attentive but no hovering. She let us talk and eat and she took care of business. Nice atmosphere, loved that there were not screens everywhere. Portion size was plentiful and we should've had some to take home but couldn't resist gobbling everything down (my husband helped me with my Virginia jambalaya, which is pictured).

Met up in Williamsburg for lunch before checking into our hotel. All of our food choices were very good. Would definitely recommend for casual dining! Friendly staff as well!

Truly amazing experience here. Tonight I went to celebrate my sisters 18th birthday and it was very nice. Truly gives off that high quality vibe and atmosphere. The food was very good too. My personal favorite is the duck wonton. The service was excellent, very friendly, very informed. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful time celebrating a very special birthday. The food and drinks were excellent and our server was very efficient but didn't seem to be very enthused about serving us. We also requested seating in the bar area so we expected noise as a playoff game was on the tv. We're all looking forward to going back.

The French Onion Soup was the best I've had as in a long time, but the shrimp and grits was bad. There was something in the soupey broth that tasted of chemicals. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, or if there was something in it that I personally didn't like, but it was bad. I sampled my friend's cassoulet and it was very good, as was the Reuben my boyfriend ordered. So, seems this place is good, just don't order the shrimp and grits.
