Nice place, good parking and nice staff. Only drawback restaurant not busy , we were seated by the kitchen, very noisy and all the wait staff used for picking up orders and returning cleared dishes. Lauren was our server she did a good job.

Absolutely love this place on our annual visit from CA, food and drink is always wonderful. But thanks to our server Tilly yesterday for making it even better! So personable, but most importantly helpful and knowledgeable in a number of instances, really appreciated all she did, having a great server elevates the experience.

My wife and I visited the 2nd St. Bistro for our 25th wedding anniversary and had the pleasure of being served by Tilly. We're not drinkers, but my wife was wanting a nice non-alcoholic drink and Tilly came through big for us. This seems like a small matter to most, but to non-drinkers, this was a major deal. She operated as though she knew exactly what we wanted and needed from the bar......Thanks again Tilly!!!!!

Our family met here for dinner on Friday evening. We waited about 30 minutes and it was totally worth the wait! Our waiter was prompt, friendly and attentive. Our appetizers included Brussel sprouts and a pretzel with cheese….delish! Several of us had burgers cooked to perfection! My dad had the bone-in pork chop with roasted apples and he loved it. The menu had lots to offer. We had a great evening, and we’ll definitely return on a future trip to Williamsburg!

First time at this restaurant, very good restaurant with atmosphere and menu that fits a relaxed day after sightseeing. Loved their sides, best pork ever, and wine selections. Returned for my birthday two days later with our wines, corkage charge and did it again. Now part of our Billsburg rotation.

I had the best meal I have EVER had at the 2nd Street American Bistro. Our server was fantastic and she helped us decide what we wanted. My husband ordered the salmon with broccoli and wild rice which he loved and I ordered the shrimp and grits and I can honestly say I never expected to be so thrilled by my meal. It was delicious. We started with the shrimp appetizer and it was just amazing.

3 1/2 stars. Wonderful, prompt service. Nice atmosphere. Some hits, but also misses with the food.

It was a busy, Saturday night but we got seated right away, Our server, ANGIE, was great. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure to check on us throughout the dinner.

We decided to go light. I ordered the Pig and Fig grilled flatbread, and a fresh field green salad. My husband decided on the Creamy Mediterranean Chicken Salad. We both liked our salads. The lettuces tasted fresh and the vegetables were crisp. The chicken salad was also yummy. My husband was impressed that it had nice chunks of chicken, and it wasn't smothered in mayonnaise. Their blue cheese dressing and sweet vidalia onion dressing were both awesome! They tasted homemade. Just wow.

My favorite part: For dessert, I ordered their chocolate cake. It was HUGE: rich, dark chocolate cake with chocolate icing and drizzled in chocolate sauce. I enjoyed it very much. If you love chocolate, it's a great choice! It wasn't overly sweet and had a nice bittersweet chocolate flavor to it. I ate one-third of it and took the rest home. I'll be able to eat this cake over several days. :)

Now the miss. My Pig and Fig grilled flatbread was ok. I also do not recommend it to anyone else. Here's why: The bacon was nice and crisp, and I liked how the sweet fig preserves balanced out the salty bacon. However, the blue cheese and Parmesan cheese tipped it to a dish I did not care for. After some reflection, I think putting together the blue cheese and the bacon on a grilled flatbread did not work. I love these two flavors on a wedge salad. The cold, crunchy iceberg lettuce tastes so good with the bacon and blue cheese dressing drizzled over it. But bacon and melted chunks of blue cheese on a warm, grilled flatbread? Too salty. Adding the sweet fig preserves did not offer the contrast I had hoped for. Instead, combining all of those flavors together made it taste confusing. It overwhelmed my tastebuds. Everything else was great. We'll be back so I can try a different dish. Hopefully, I'll find a main dish that works for me.

Would rate 4.5 stars if possible, but wanted to highlight as a great dining option off the beaten path in Williamsburg. Food and drinks were great for my girlfriend and I after a long day of walking around at Colonial Williamsburg and the staff allowed us to sit in the bar right away amid a very busy evening. Bison meatloaf was great, but pasta had a bit too much going on. Asian ribs as an appetizer were amazing, and the beer was reasonably priced. Not a “must-stop,” but definitely would return again.

Not worth the hype. The food took forever to come and the service was ok. The waiteress never came to refill our drinks or to see if we needed anything else. My burger was nothing special and my friend's bacon ranch chicken flatbread was dry.

We had an exceptional dining experience at 2nd St. American Bistro!

From start to finish, our evening at 2nd St. American Bistro in Williamsburg was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and just upscale enough to make the night feel special without being stuffy.

Our server, Duval, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive without hovering. He made great recommendations and really added to the overall experience.

The Old Fashioned I started with was very enjoyable. I ordered the bison meatloaf, and it was phenomenal—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The texture was tender, and the seasoning hit all the right notes. The accompanying sides (mashed potato and steamed broccoli) were fresh and thoughtfully prepared, rounding out one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

Between the excellent food, top-notch service, and relaxing ambiance, 2nd St. American Bistro delivers on every level. It’s easy to see why this is one of Williamsburg’s local favorites. I’ll definitely be back—and asking for Duval again!
