Was missing $25 worth of food from my order, spoke to THREE managers who advised a refund would be issued.. two months later and still no refund. According to their Facebook reviews its a common issue with this restaurant.
Additionally the food was not good. The crab on the poboy was tuna at best.

Placed an online order, got texted it was ready. Got there and they were out of the fish I ordered. That's fine I need a refund. Was told to come back next day as no Mgr to do it. I have been back there, called numerous times and sent many emails. As of 2/11/25 I have had no response and no refund. I'm sad as this has been one of my favorites and I will never come back. Worst service and worst run business in town. Shame as I love the brand. EDIT#1 IT IS NOW 2/15/2025. I HAVE CONTACTED YET AGAIN AND STILL NO RESPONSE. I WILL TAKE DOWN MY REVIIEW WHEN I AM RETURNED THE MONEY YOU HAVE TAKEN FROM ME!

Got the shack pack. Food was hot in fresh. Not the best fish I ever had but it won’t bad. Shrimp was okay. Fries were nice and crispy. Cornbread was cold but maybe that’s just how it’s served. Overall not bad.

It takes so long to order and get your food, if they have ANY customers waiting for food, go somewhere else. The place seems very sketchy with poor atmosphere. You have to see it to believe it.

I think this is my first ever negative review. This place was so bad I had to leave a warning. We ordered food for 4 and were seated waiting for our order to come out. I could see part of the kitchen from where I was sitting. I looked over and noticed the cook, was scooping food out of a container and scooping off the excess with his bare finger- no gloves.
Our food comes out and my brother's order was wrong, so the cook comes out with food on his hand and wipes his hands on his pants which you could see by the stains on his pants, he had done that many times that day.
He takes my brother's food back to the kitchen and I immediately go up to the register area where you can see the whole kitchen and he has a bun in his bare hands that he didn't wash as he goes to prepare a new sandwich for my brother.
I told them we didn't want to eat there because it is gross and not appropriate the way the cook is handling the food with his bare hands and every surface in the kitchen looked disgusting.
They said they didn't have the authority to give us a refund, so we asked they make us all new food with gloves on which they did.
The food comes out and my brother cuts into his chicken and part of it was completely raw....
They took it back and the third time, got it right.
It’s been a long day so we decided to go buy shrimp shack from the time we walked in we were greeted professionally. Customer Service was excellent throughout our whole dinner meal. They made a mistake, but quickly resolve the issue and took care of us without any additional charges this place is great. Take your time out to go there and eat. again, great customer service. Great place to eat and what I’d like the most they off of military discount. Thanks for taking care of Williamsburg,Va.
I'd give it a negative 5 but not an option. Waaay overpriced & not good food.

I went here today for lunch and my experience was exceptional!! I can’t eat dairy and I have a tree nut allergy. The staff were so accommodating and the manager came out and spoke to me directly. He was so helpful in telling me everything I could eat and made changes to the food so I could eat it. The other staff were so nice and welcoming. They checked on me to ask how my food was and came to say hi to my baby. The food was absolutely AMAZINGGGG!!!! I had the crab cake, shrimp and French fries. The crab cake has so much crab meat which was amazing for the price. One of the best meals I’ve had for sure. I would hands down recommend coming here to eat!
If you’re looking for some tasty seafood, this is the place to go. The fish fillets lightly battered and scrumptious. You’ll love the shrimp, they are also lightly battered and you don’t have the hard tails to pull off, so you can eat the whole shrimp. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about but the food makes up for that. Drop by you won’t be disappointed!
We had lunch. I had the fried scallops and added shrimp. My hubby had grilled. The fried was great. The grilled was a little greasy. The sides were good.
