Initial look at menu was - not the usual. Partner had veggie bowl said it was really good. I had fried catfish - done very well with a large serving of hoppin John. Ice cream for dessert. Excellent server - attitude, tried to please, and very active in her area.
Will not return. Crowded dining room with loads of small children crying, shrieking, and banging on furniture. Food option limited. Food expensive for quality and quantity. Ambiance was poor; about the poorest I've experienced in a while.
We ordered salads and paid $8 extra for grilled chicken The chicken was so tough that I gave up trying to chew it and left pieces behind The pumpkin vinaigrette had some weird off flavor The fried pickles were actually tasty but sitting in a puddle of oil so we didn't finish them either All of this for about $70 for 2 people Not a great experience
Great choices on the menu lead to a delicious meal and fabulous service! Definitely returning on another trip!
Overpriced and limited menu that consists mainly of bar food. Very noisy and not at all upscale.
Very disappointed in the food . Did not get what was described on the menu in the harvest salad . Sent it back and it was returned with 4 small beets on top but still no apples , Kale or arugula.. just plain bagged lettuce . They offered to switch my meal .. but then had to wait while partner finished his . They offered dessert but would not go back !
It is a bit pricey but our table was great and our waitress was amazing. We will come again when we are back here in Williamsburg. We live in Oregon.
We arrived expecting a charming mid-Atlantic evening experience, but instead, we got an eye‑rolling masterclass in poor service. Our waitress was sarcastic, inattentive, and seemed more interested in making unnecessary comments than ensuring we enjoyed our meal. She didn’t ask how we wanted our lamb prepared, blaming the “system” and even took it upon herself to recork our wine, completely missing the point that wine needs to breathe.
Her attitude made it feel as if tourists were a nuisance rather than valued guests. Attempting to address the issues with management was frustrating; any action taken felt perfunctory, lacking genuine hospitality restaurants typically uphold.
It’s a shame because the food and setting could have been delightful, but one unprofessional staff member made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant if attentive, courteous service is important to you.

We had a great experience—nachos are deceptively delicious although they look unassuming! Shout out to Alexandra for making our visit extra special.

Service was very slow. Chris (our waitress) was too busy visiting with what appeared to be her friends at another table. She acted like waiting on us was a bother. When she finally brought the dessert menu she chose to bring up her uneducated political views about the mason Dixon line (which is the name of one of the desserts). If I could give the service 0 stars; I would.

Fantastic meals in Williamsburg! My wife and I went there for multiple meals during our stay. From amazing Burgers to Short Rib and grits with popped Sorghum, the meals were outstanding, as were the mixed drinks, and the staff were top notch. Highly recommend!!
The food is good, to bad the people working there are uneducated, liars, and down right nasty
Loved the drinks and the environment was very welcoming and cozy. Our waiter Leona was amazing; she definitely made our experience even better!!!
