Just order a smoked salmon bagel and a matcha tea. They were both what you'd expect from a bakery.

I’ve tried their pastries and bagels and both are tasteless. Everything looks so beautiful but the actual food is really disappointing.

It's a very cute place to get pastries, bread, bagels, sandwiches, and coffee items. Everything there is made in-house, even the flavored cream cheese. The staff that we encountered that morning were super cool and very eager to help with your selections. Very friendly and answered all our questions about certain items on the menu. The shop is set in a very quiet and quaint area with a seating area outside, under umbrellas. It was very enjoyable and we'll definitely go back there on our next visit to Colonial Williamsburg, Va.

The gal at the register was very nice and even offered recommendations. Highly recommend that you have a breakfast sandwich on an Asiago Bagel

Everything we purchased was Amazing! Best bagel i ever had. Boston cream crescent, homemade pop tart, stunning... Must try.

This was my first time visiting this bakery, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet my expectations. I was disappointed to find that nearly half the items on the menu were unavailable—especially since I was only in town for the day and had been looking forward to trying a variety of offerings. It’s frustrating for a place to stay open into the afternoon without having much of the menu available.

Additionally, the service left a lot to be desired. The cashier’s responses came off as passive-aggressive when I asked about specific items, and rather than listing what was available, I had to ask about each item individually. It would have been more helpful if she had simply let me know what they did have in stock.

I ended up getting a white peach lemonade, which was okay—but overall, the experience was underwhelming and I wasn’t able to try any pastries.

The Bake Shop is by far my favorite place to grab breakfast in Williamsburg! I’d give it 6 stars if I could - the pastries are unique and always high quality. As a local, I love that the flavors change each week! It adds variety and personality to a beloved institution here in The Burg. The staff is very kind and patient, even when the place is packed. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!!!

I ordered an egg sandwich, and while driving home I started eating it and noticed an off taste. I looked at the egg and it was green and moldy (Edit in response to Bake Shop’s reply: it was 100% mold. It was green and white and tasted like mold.) I immediately went back and got a refund, but this is absolutely ridiculous. How does a moldy egg make it out of the kitchen??? I hope I don’t get sick from this. I won’t be going back and I advise others to stay away as well.

The pastries were ok. Not much variety. I was disappointed in the scones, they tasted stale and not much flavor. The apple croissant was better but the flavor had a weird aftertaste. The young lady who was working the counter was not very friendly like she had better things to do. It was my 1st time visiting and I may not return.

Reliable, delicious, and you always know you’ll be getting good food here. The drinks are also great and for someone who is not much of a coffee drinker, I appreciate it. The ambiance seating area outside is also always wonderful—a place to go with friends or network (if you will).

My husband and I were excited to come here but we were a little disappointed in the coffee. However, the salmon lox bagel was delicious.

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, and it came out cold. The cheese was not melted at all, the bread was chewy, and all of our coffee’s were terrible. They need to invest in a toaster oven and better espresso.

Any food and drink you get will be absolutely amazing. The bagels are the best in the region. Everything is very expensive, especially the pastries and baked goods, but as mentioned they are delicious! No indoor seating, but lots of outdoor tables with umbrellas.
