The Cupboard ~~ Great little spot to stop in for a snack or drink. Especially terrific is Siba, the nicest of ladies who makes the best hot tea anywhere. Who knew adding orange slices and cinnamon sticks could turn it into something special!

Real nice resort’ish hotel in outstanding local, great facilities, and excellent staff/service. During a time when similar hotels can’t even provide daily housekeeping, The Williamsburg Lodge was a breath of fresh air. Their personnel for all services were all courteous and informative. The facilities at The Lodge was very good. Some areas needed some renovations, but by no means was it unclean or unusable. Although the rooms were clean and well appointed, some areas on the grounds could use some routine TLC. Noticed some cobwebs in lights, broken bricks on walkways, and dings and dents in room bathroom. In summary, really enjoyed the hotel and would definitely come again and recommend.

Pleasant staff and informative - front desk, superb concierge. Room was spacious, clean, plentiful towels. Have a great restaurant and also a little store with snacks. Convenient for Colonial Williamsburg and College of William & Mary.s

We selected to stay here for 2 nights in August 2023 for a trip to Williamsburg/Busch Gardens with our girls. We paid for a deluxe room, which turns out is in the Tazewell Hall building. The main lodge is nice and we’ll equipped, but Tazewell was more like a college 1970s era hotel, but with dogs. The room wasn’t clean enough for how much we paid a night, the clothes we brought felt damp after a day in the room, there weren’t 4 water cups for 4 people, the coffee cups weren’t exchanged, I could go on. I’ve stayed at cleaner super 8s, which is saying something. I wouldn’t recommend Tazewell Hall ever. Who knew the deluxe rooms were the dog rooms. Not great when your kid is terrified of dogs. The front desk staff were nice, but they cannot control housekeeping and what they do. They looked at me like I had a third eye when i said we’d be checking out early…

After a long day at Water Country USA we checked into our hotel. My husband was greeted at the front desk and given the keys and info on where to park and where to locate our room. I’ve been looking forward to staying at this location. We went to our room to shower and get ready for dinner. The room was in ok shape. Nothing special. Typical dings in furniture, cracks on ceiling, things you’d find in a typical hotel room. The surprising part was when we turned on the shower. There was absolutely no hot water. My husband called the front desk and told her the situation. The lady who answered said she would call him back. No one called him back. So we packed up our luggage and headed to the main desk. My husband spoke to the manager. He and his staff knew the hot water wasn’t working in the entire building we were staying in. And when they checked us in they knew it! They never even mentioned it! Being it was past 8pm by this point, we asked for a refund and drove 3 hours back home with our kids.

I wanted to write a nice review so bad due to the friendly staff. Unfortunately, this second time at the Autograph our kids begged to go home within minutes of getting into the room(s). The first room the bed was literally chewed up and the second room had a huge, gigantic bug. The housekeeping staff was transparent enough to inform me of the infestation coming through drains throughout the property. Needless to say that due to NASCAR weekend we were back home in 3 hours after riding around few hours looking for a hotel. I could and will kiss my husband for pulling an overnight commute.

If you expect little from a hotel this is the place for you! Front desk staff don’t know their own hotel and it kept of going from there. The pillows on the bed smelled of body odor, the window covers barley functioned, the restaurant staff compete with the bar staff for seating locations which was odd, the business center downs t actually exist and it goes on from there.

We have been to Williamsburg countless times over the last 30 years but it was our first time staying at the Lodge. The location is superb and can't be beat. You are within walking distance to the Inn and it's lovely amenities and restaurants, the colonial district and Merchant's Square. You also have the free Colonial Williamsburg shuttle bus located right outside of the hotel. Our check in experience was a bit confusing as we were told our room would be available in a matter of minutes and yet we were not called for 3 more hours for our room. Luckily, we had ventured into the colonial area and grabbed a bite to eat while we waited, but it seems there was a miscommunication at the front desk. When we were finally checked in, we were given a lovely upgraded room with a patio that was fabulous. All of the staff at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful throughout our entire stay. Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, some days our beds were made and trash was taken, others it was not, but we were provided with fresh towels daily. We grabbed breakfast from the Cupboard for 2 of our mornings. The coffee is a bit weak and the line can get long but it was a good option to have. Our last day, we had a phenomenal breakfast at Traditions, the on site restaurant. Would highly recommend! Overall, the hotel is lovely. It is clean, comfortable and close to everything. Rooms could use some updating but ours was perfect for our trip. The $15 parking rate per day was a bit disappointing but this is becoming the norm at many Marriott hotels so it was not a surprise. We had a wonderful stay and hope we are able to return soon for another memorable time in one of our favorite places!

This place is a huge win for many reasons. The first is the location. It’s perfect! The Lodge is just a very easy walk from the heart of Colonial Williamsburg and all of the attractions, restaurants, and shopping that the area is known for! Don’t want to walk? That’s OK too, the CW shuttle bus has a stop directly in front of the hotel. Really, this place is in the middle of it all and makes for a great base! Next is the property…is it old? Yes! It’s supposed to be! It definitely has that feel of the time period. Now does this mean that the hotel is not well kept or is in disrepair? Absolutely not! I have stayed here several times now and have always found it to be well maintained and in great order, but if you are looking for a newer, modern property, this is not it. It’s not supposed to be. However, if you appreciate a time period correct location that is well cared for, this is a great spot! The last thing that this property has going for it are the people! The staff try really hard to make sure that you have an enjoyable stay, from the front desk staff, to the housekeepers, to the bar/restaurant employees, and even the valet/bell staff that hold the door open for you when you arrive/depart for the day. The entire team should be really proud of themselves here, and I think this really speaks to their leadership as well. These people genuinely want you to have an enjoyable stay, and it shows! A special mention to Brittany at the front desk for especially going above and beyond! I also want to mention Kimmie in the lounge as well. Bonus: if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, this property is part of the program. It has been my experience that the staff of this Autograph Collection property appreciate your visit, ensure that you feel welcomed, and are very well versed with the program benefits. Some other properties seem to view this as a liability. In my experiences, the Lodge appears to see this as an opportunity! I don’t usually leave many reviews. I feel obligated to leave one now as the Lodge has continuously gone above and beyond multiple times now to make sure that every stay here is a great experience!

It was our wedding day. We called a WEEK before our reservation and asked for two things: An early (2pm) check-in, and a cheeseboard waiting for us in the room. They said yes to both, so we designed our itinerary around this promise. IF YOU COULDN'T DO IT, YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID NO! Because they said yes to those requests, we planned to be able to drop off our bags and have a little snack before continuing with our busy day. OUR WEDDING DAY. I even called the day before to double-check and confirm once more that the room would be ready at 2pm. It was not. We ended up waiting in our car for two hours until they finally called to tell us the room was ready. They were not apologetic at all. Then, to add insult to injury, the maid was hovering outside our door at 9:30 the next morning and asked us how soon we'd be checking out! Also, the concierge NEVER picked up the phone or returned any of our 3 phone messages the day before our stay. What a disappointing and infuriating experience. We will never stay here again.

Enjoyed our one night stay at this location. Me and my friend planned on a trip to the Busch garden and decided to stay at this location. We stayed in room 4512, which had a nice balcony facing the courtyard. The whole facility was clean and quiet. Rooms were stainless and beddings were very comfortable. Later we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and every staff was professional and kind. Check in process was very smooth, the front desk lady Kara was very kind and patient, she took her time to explain to us everything about the location as well as all the questions we had. Overall a 5 out of 5 and we’ll definitely consider staying here again.

Quick and friendly service. High resort prices, but a better alternative to the cost of breakfast offered next door.

This hotel is in much need of repair. it is sad how far they have let it so. we were in 4638 and maybe some other rooms are better or have been updated. the shower was very dated and poor, some elevators not working. poor lighting, closet doors covered in dust and over 500 a night. Really??????? never again

Perfect location. The grounds were clean and the staff was excellent and helpful. You have full use of the pool and gym at the Williamsburg Inn. The only criticism was the dining options. The menu selection were not to my liking and were a little pricy. Overall the Lodge is a great place to stay.

Perfect location in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg and close to the College of William & Mary. Large, extremely clean rooms. One minor inconvenience was that we couldn't tell the opaque shower gel dispenser was empty until it was too late. Beautifully landscaped grounds, but rooms are spread out into separate buildings an parking lots, which can make it inconvenient to reach the front desk, shops, and restaurants in the main building in the rain.
