This place is amazing đđ». My husband and I tried it for the first time today as soon as we opened the door we were greeting by the host who immediately checked on a table for us. A server then came around the corner and greeted us as well. We were seated quickly and the server Lucie immediately came up to our table to say hi and get our drink orders. She got them quickly and took our order right after. She was attentive bringing us refills, extra sauce, checking on our food, and bringing us boxes. This is the best restraunt experience we have had in 4 years. Great atmosphere with funny pictures of dogs on the walls, but very calm vibe. We will definitely add this restraunt to our rotation for when we visit williamsburg.
Weâre from Las Vegas, NV. And we truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere we will recommend this pub to all who come out here
The food here is really good, and they have gluten free options but Iâd like to see more. The outdoor seating is super nice but the inside feels too âfancyâ for a midday walk in. But, the staff is so nice that I would feel comfortable doing so.
We had a wonderful dinner at The Houndâs Tale during our trip to Williamsburg. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and fun â perfect for families!
Our daughter especially loved the kid-friendly menu and the playful dog-themed decor. We truly enjoyed everything from start to finish.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Williamsburg â weâll definitely come back next time!
Ambiance is great. Our server was outstanding. The shrimp & grits was pretty good, but the fish and chips were overcooked. Plenty of menu options though. We will be back.
What a super cute pub! It is entirely dog themed, down to serving us complimentary popcorn in (clean) dog bowls. The fish and chips were great, and the cookie skillet was the perfect dessert to top off the meal
Another tourist trap, you won't be coming back,so who gives a shit, that's the owners credo around Williamsburg sorry to say,not much to chose from did find a good pizza place, wood oven,a bit pricy, but worth it.5th pizza on Lightfoot road, owners from New York,so that tells you something right there, good luck
Stopped in for a quick cocktail, and the bartender could pretty much care less that I was there. I was greeted with a âwhat do you wantâ.
I had to ask for a menu, and I wasnât explained anything or felt invited to the space.
A quick lesson on customer service would have improved my experienceâŠ. Immensely.
We came in with our 5 month old and had a great dinner.
The lamb chops were incredible and the bison tenderloin was so tender and moist I could cut it with a butter knife.
We had wanted dessert but a surprise bagpipe band came in and started playing and scared our 5 month old to tears.
Before I realized what was going to happen, a gentleman from the kitchen gave us fair warning. Our waitress was nothing less than impressive as she grabbed our stroller and helped us out the back.
Overall a great establishment and the staff were phenomenal. Very family and pet friendly too! We'll definitely be returning in the near future.

The best part of the dinning experience was the server Casey. She did a great job of trying to keep us happy after having to return the 45 dollar cowboy ribeye twice and it was still undercooked. Also the vegetables did not have its sauce as stated on menu.

I would recommend passing if you are visiting the town. I donât want to give 1 start because the food was good, but the service and price was bad for what you get. Plus, when I ordered the special, they didnât have it despite it being the beginning of the dinner hour. This place seems pretty mid for such a cool town.
Fun dog themed restaurant and bar with good selection of bourbons and other liquors. The service was very good and the atmosphere was fun to hang out with friends for drinks.

My husband and I were here with our kids this summer and had a fabulous meal! Then we stopped in tonight to watch the end of the PSU game and had Shrimp and Grits and each got a drink. Always a fabulous experience! Will certainly continue to return!

We had a new waitress, Casey, this past weekend at The Hound's Tale and she was attentive, funny, and was able to take our (tons) of questions with grace and get back to us from the kitchen (celiac in the group). Highly recommend not only their staff but their food was incredible too!
From the 3 ladies who ordered a LOT and laughed LOUDLY -- Casey you were excellent!
