This is a quiet, cozy, family owned restaurant. The decor is beautiful and rustic and you can entertain yourself just looking at the walls while you wait for your food, not that the wait time for food is long at all. A good place for nourishing, hearty meals that feel like real food, which can be difficult to find when you're on vacation! The free bread on the tables is so good. The staff are very mindful of food allergies. Every time we drive to Williamsburg we eat here...
This has become a favorite spot to eat whenever I get to Williamsburg; about once a year. The food is always good (love the peanut soup), the wait staff and owner are very open, friendly and welcoming. We always feel at home when we dine here.
We had hoped to enjoy our meal, but unfortunately, the quality of the meat was unsatisfactory and did not justify the cost. We spent $230 on three adult meals and one children's meal, and the children's meal was particularly disappointing. My steak was tough and unappetizing. I love the atmosphere and service.
