The bartender was awful and ruined the evening for us. She was rude and even when I brought to the manager's attention her behavior, I never received an apology. It is a shame because it is a very nice establishment but the attitude of the bartender simply makes me sense: Don't go there because for the prize you pay you should receive outstanding service and you won't. Huge disappointment and inconvenience because this was a closest restaurant.

Tucked away in Colonial Williamsburg, the Terrace at Williamsburg Inn is a true hidden gem. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere serene, and the service consistently outstanding. Perfect for those seeking a quiet, refined dining experience.

Beautiful room appointed in federal style furnishings. The service was very good and the food came out and was as beautiful as the rest of the restaurant.

Incredible experience - Quite happy to kick off 2026 at Terrance room ! Stephan was outstanding throughout the service!

The special new year's eve menu was enjoyable! Service by Michael was excellent and attentive. The atmosphere was festive for the winter season. Highly recommended for a special occasion dinner.

Wonderful dinner. The choices were very well thought out there was something for everyone. I love the food at the Inn.

Underwhelming and experience. Over an hour wait for food; the food was subpar at best; kids had linguini with butter which ended up being spaghetti in a bowl with watered down butter. I had the burger which was inedible. Bummer because it's a beautiful location...

If you like to dine with dogs this is the place for you. The manager allowed a dog to sit with a customer even though the dog was not a service dog. My wife is allergic to dogs and it is a violation of Virginia law to allow a non-service dog in an indoor dining room. We promptly left.

A lovely afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. We noticed a marked improvement from previous visits, that the service was much more warm & gracious this time, as you should expect with afternoon tea, but had been lacking in previous visits.

Food was very disappointing. Grilled green tomatoes were cold and raw!, the dish did not work at all. The signature burger was chewy and the onion jam was too sweet and sickly.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The Terrace room is pretty fancy and definitely high end. The food is quite good but very pricy. The service is very good as well. My wife has a lot of dietary restrictions so the waitress has to be patient to get the order in and ourw was. Thought the food is quite good, I am not sure it justfies the high price. No real complaints though other than the steep bill.

Stephen is a fabulous server, but all the extra helpers are so professional. The room gives a long ago upper class feeling that is just special.

Our server was amazing went above and beyond... but the food needs flavor we had to add salt to everything to give it even some taste but atmosphere and service was on point

With the Rockefeller Room closed indefinitely, the Williamsburg Inn struggles to define what type of hotel that they want to be. This is no longer a five star hotel and having the normal breakfast room as your main dining room underscores this indecision. The food was average. Friend green tomatoes had no flavor even though they added a variety of spices. My rainbow trout obviously had just been frozen and had no flavor either. This is a shame that such a majestic hotel with a long history of serving incredible food has been relegated to a subpar dinner dining experience. Of note, the Terraces sits right next to the bar and any traffic and noise permeates through the room. I would not recommend eating here for dinner.

Beautiful surroundings highly professional service. Wonderful food as good to look at as to eat. Menu had disappearing changed from price fixe to a la carte in the few days before our reservation but the entire experience more than made up for that.
