We are locals, and have been TRYING to be loyal to our local Beer Company, VBC. However, this has happened to us 3 times now, and we (my Wife and I) are very frustrated. On 3 seperate occasions, (once from beer brought directly from your brewery, once from Food Lion, and once from the BP on Penneman Rd), we have wound up buying Free Verse that had COPIOUS AMOUNTS of Sediment, like it was not properly filtered. Once, I didn't notice until after it was too late and it made my Wife and Myself sick! Needless to say, Virginia Beer Company has really let us down, and has now had three strikes. I guess we'll shift our loyalty to one of the several other breweries in town. Too bad.
Update: I DID send a message through the contact form on your website, and on the previous 2 occasions we actually went into your tasting room to bring it to your staff’s attention. Both times we got the same story, that this just doesn’t happen and doesn’t make it past your safety standards, etc. Well… It has happened 3 times now, despite your repeated assurances that it doesn’t happen. THAT is why I resorted, after 3 unsuccessful attempts to seek resolution with you (or your staff)…. Like I said, “3 strikes”.
Had the Octoberfest on a side pull was very tasty. Nice out door seating area even though it’s next to the road. Staff were friendly. I didn’t eat but they had a bbq food truck that looked interesting
Great staff and good drinks!
Local brewery in Williamsburg, VA. They have a nice-sized taproom and outdoor seating area. Great selection of beers on tap and canned. They host many activities like trivia, sporting events, and many others. It's a great place to gather with friends or meet new ones. Usually, a food truck is on site. Smaller parking lot, so arrive early.
Nice place with plenty of seating outside. However, I'm always disappointed when places have nothing interesting for non beer drinkers. Not even one cider on tap.
Fast service. Happy employees as it appears! Great ambience for a beer place. Nice outdoor seating. Good music. And of course you gotta do a flight to test all those funky name beers!
Awesome little spot. Great service and amazing beer.
Loved this place. Amazing people with a FANTASTIC brew selection and food truck partner with the Tin Tub. They made us feel welcome the entire time we were there. Highly recommend.
Nice variety of beers.
Staff is super sweet!
They frequently have a food truck or event/entertainment.
Dog friendly inside and out. Very comfortable to visit as a group or solo.
Great beer.

We stopped in late one Friday afternoon. There were 16 beers in draft and a few more canned. In our party of 4 we found beers that everyone liked. My daughter and I especially liked the Friends of Dorothy, a seasonal brew. The location is easy to access with a lot of parking. The tap room and the outside seating area were both quite large. We had both pints and flights. I would definitely recommend!
Super friendly staff. Good beer.
The Virginia Beer Company in Williamsburg, VA, is a fantastic spot for any beer lover. Their dedication to quality and community really shows in both their drinks and vibe. I’m a big fan of the Sweet Relief—it’s refreshing and crisp, with a perfect mix of sweetness and hops. The Gorgeous IPA is another favorite of mine, with its bold hop flavor and citrusy notes that really stand out. What makes The Virginia Beer Company even more special is their inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. They proudly display pride flags, showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community, which makes the place feel really accepting and friendly. The taproom itself is spacious and cozy, with plenty of seating inside and outside. It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends, play a game of cornhole, or just chill with a great beer. The staff are super friendly and know their stuff, always ready to help you pick out a beer you’ll love. They also have a rotating selection of seasonal and limited-edition brews, so there’s always something new and exciting to try. Their passion for craft beer and creating a welcoming space makes The Virginia Beer Company a standout in the Williamsburg beer scene. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place is definitely worth checking out.
