Arrived before 7:45 pm reservation. $30 charge for parking. Waited in the hallway with other guests for over 45 minutes after reservation time before we were seated. A chair of the table we were taken to was wet with some kind of spilled liquid. The "buffet" consisted of large metal steamers with cold, under cooked vegetables and meat (fish, pork, etc.) entries. Most steamers were virually empty or had portions clearly disturbed and spread around haphazardly. A cut of beef was available only if asked and willing to stand and wait for it to be cooked on a griddle much like a fast food restaurant would have. Self serving spoons were dirty and some lay in unsanitary conditions. After carrying our plates to our table, although our waiter was attentive, my wife was served a glass of white wine which was lukewarm and bitter to the taste and undrinkable. Hoping desert would be an improvement I found the desert station in a similar disarray as the "buffet" line with few choices available. While I perused whether or not I should risk my health on taking one of the remaining crumbly items, a staff member appeared with a pecan pie. Heartened, I obtained a piece, hoping it had been freshly made, and found that it was still partially frozen. Our waiter was very kind and sympathetic and the chef in attendance apologized to me for the sub-standard meal experience. I was pleased that I was reimbursed $56, but the remaining over $200 that was kept was much more than the experience was worth. All in all, this was one of the worst, if not the worst, dining experiences I and my family have had, including tented mess hall chow and service while deployed to the desert. While a previous dinner at another venue obtained through opentable was a delight, this experience was horrible.

While the food was delicious as always, the condition of the buffet was atrocious!!! No one was tending to wiping away spilled food or replacing sticky spoons or quickly refilling empty trays and desserts. This appearance made the buffet very unappetizing. Also, our waitress was lovely, but she was overworked and was slow bringing drinks, etc. We love this restaurant and will return, but this was definitely NOT their best effort.

Christmas Buffet. Food was very tasty. Great variety. The turkey was mixed with he mashed potatoes and actually made it quite tender. Desserts were a bit lacking.

I was a single diner and was not seated until near the end of the scheduled buffet. The food by then was VERY picked over and had been sitting there. I ate quickly and left very underwhelmed. The wait staff did the very best that they could.

This was a holiday special dinner buffet in a venue which normally is limited to breakfasts. The food was all in all good, the service was OK for a buffet, but the prepaid price, plus service, plus tax, plus adult beverages was pretty much at a captive resort premium, about 30% more than commercially appropriate. Not a bad experience, not a great one either.

This was a special holiday eve buffet. The food was tasty and varied, but quite a bit of it was lukewarm which was disappointing. Service was friendly and attentive. We were seated in a room that was half-empty, awaiting large groups to arrive which made it kind of quiet until the groups arrived. Then it got lively. But the room looked like a room in a home - decor, colours, furniture. So that felt cozy and nice.

We prepaid for 9 at approx $900 with tip.Four children who did not eat much. It is a buffet for dinner. My wife is a little picky but I will eat almost anything. But even for me this was possibly the worst meal I have had for this amount of money. The cheese board was just cheese. We asked about crackers, he went next door to get some because there was none offered. The rolls where cold out if the frig. The salads where drenched in dressing. The fried chicken was soggy. There was cod but it smelled so bad my wife asked me to move. They did have fillet that was good.there were a few other items that I did not try.the are from the kids section. It was ok. I ended up eating from there a little given the quality of the other food. The deserts were apple and cherry pie that they cut into tiny 2 bite slices so I took 6. It was OK but Safeway quality.i did like the lemon bars. I decided to start drinking so asked for something strong. My martini was in a small water glass but it was good and helped me forget the meal the next day.

We have always had a great experience here, this time was a little different, class field trip was there, 1 group was quite and polite even though they made a complete mess of the buffet it was still manageable, the second how ever was loud and very disruptive, breaking plates and the staff had to change out a lot of the food as everything was mixed together. The adults had retreated to a corner of the restaurant and set the kids free, the restaurant staff was great, went above the call of duty to keep things clean as the floor took on a mosaic pattern of different colors and textures of food and pieces of broken material. It was still good as it was more like breakfast and a movie, not know what was going to take place next. Lol, kids are kids, we all have been one. My praise for the staff.

While staying at the Williamsburg Lodge I was offered free breakfast here each day… I only came one of the two mornings I stayed here to try their breakfast. The hostess was kind of challenged in being able to keep up with just the few parties waiting to enter… service from her was very slow and aloof. Once seated, service was great. The selection of what they give in the in the “continental breakfast” was great, as it was a typical full buffet, just not their specialties and honestly, that was all I needed.

The eggs were decent. The English muffins were hard and stale, clearly left out from the day before – yuck. The bacon was great. The venue was nicely decorated in the typical Williamsburg period décor, which is appealing considering it’s the norm for the area.

Overall – I’d definitely not come here for a meal I had to pay for, but for a complimentary meal, it’ll do.

We tried this due to convenience of location since we are staying in this hotel. Would absolutely not recommend. The food was not great. The service was terrible. Server just acted like she didnt want to be there. I had to ask for creamer for my coffee multiple times, it was cold by the time she brought the creamer, the food was way overpriced for what it was, my kids were not even offered a drink, I honestly left very annoyed. The hostess also acted like she didnt want to be there. There was one waitress (that wasn't ours) that seemed to be engaging, but the others just lifeless.

Do not waste your money here!

July 4th buffet was basic American fare but it was done well. It wasn’t a great value for the money but there were limited options and it was July 4th in Williamsburg so I was grateful we were able to secure a reservation.

For a Fourth of July event in Colonial Williamsburg it was underwhelming. Standard buffet lineup. Didn't appear they did anything different other than line up a buffet and hang some decorations. For 50$ a person, I would look elsewhere.

We attended their Mothers Day Brunch and it was fantastic. Wife loved it, and even the kids who are usually very picky eaters went back to the buffet for seconds and thirds. Great atmosphere, great service, great food!

The food was delicious and people were very nice!! The space was incredibly small for a Mother's Day brunch with the amount of people. Not the best for handicap accessible with the amount of tables/chairs in the way then standing in a long line due to only having one buffett side. We were told the location changed due to the low amount of people but it seemed overly packed in the space where they had the Mother's Day brunch.
