Overpriced, super long line, and poor quality food. My family visited busch garden over Christmas holidays. We heard good things about this place and saved it for Christmas dinner. We got to the place around 4:30 and there was already a long line. It took us more than 45 mins to get food. We ordered ribs and chicken platter. As you can imagine, it has theme park premium and over-priced for a few pieces of chicken and ribs with two sides. There was heated seating area next to the restaurant and we were able to find seats, thankfully. It is not a sit down restaurant and there is no such thing as service.

In terms of quality, rib was super dry but greasy at the same time. It was not a pleasant feeling to put that in my mouth after waiting almost an hour. The only reason I kept eating was because I was so hungry. Even my hunger could not make it better.

Chicken was a bit better and had a little bit of softness and juiciness. Fries were soggy. Coleslaw was probably the best thing to eat here.

I am going back to Busch garden in a few months but would not go back to this place again. Overall, the food option is extremely limited in busch garden. Be prepared for it.

Without even discussing the absurd price, the brisket platter they advertise is a scam. I received two measly strips of terribly cooked beef brisket, when I specifically told them I do not eat pork or chicken. I was looking forward to a nice portion of beef brisket, similar to what was served at the Orlando Busch Gardens. It would be insulting to compare to the Orlando Busch Gardens. Spend your money elsewhere, this is a joke and a scam.

We visited on a Saturday in late November 2025 during Christmas Town.

We had a 4 all day dining passes and it was totally worth it based on the price of these entrees. We order 2 Trapper's smokehouse samplers, a st. louis style bbq ribs and a salmon platter.

The trapper's smokehouse samplers were great. You get 2 slices of brisket, 2 ribs and a chicken thigh. You also get a large roll and fries that all counts as the platter so the meal plan allows a side or dessert as well. We decided on fried pickle spears and soda.

The st. louis style bbq ribs had like 4 or 5 ribs on it and came with side of fries and roll as well. For the side we got mac and cheese.

The salmon platter came with a fairly large piece of salmon, green beans, potatoes au gratin and a roll. The green beans were very flavorful and looked to be cooked with onions as well.

We would order all of it again in a heartbeat. It was very delicious.

Was it worth the cost if we had paid without a all day dining plan, absolutely not. But as 1 meal when we had a total of 6 for the day bringing it to about $5. Absolutely!

This was probably my favorite restaurant food of all the options we had during our visit.

We did have to sit outside and it had just rained so even with umbrellas many seats were still wet.

The staff was very nice and while the line was long it moved relatively quick.

Brisket was cold, greenbeens was not cooked thoroughly, ribs was decent, chicken a bit dry, salmon lack flavor not unless you ask for more honey glaze. Do not eat the apple cobbler it will give you acid reflux. The only thing warm was the fries and mozzarella sticks.

So many yellow jackets. I would avoid it for this reason alone. I think they are farming them with uncovered trash cans

Waited over 40 minutes to get food. Once you actually get into the area to grab your food the environment is really dirty. The heat lamps are absolutely disgusting and have caked on grease and dust. Looked above and the air vents have thick layers of dust and dirt caked on. It’s a very open concept and there isn’t any way to keep the inside sealed which is understandable of all the debris all over the walls and lights. But for 2 meals and two bottles of water and a side of fries it was about $100 bucks. Which for that kind of money I would like to not guess if there is going to be something gross lingering on my food. And the concept of having the drink machine at the end of the service area is slowing down the service line. People are taking several minutes just to get drinks and all the people behind them have their food in their hands waiting patiently to leave. After nearly an hour of that mess I get to the table to eat and half of the meat on the sampler was cold. The food that was warm was really good. The brisket and ribs were very delicious and smoky. Would have been even better if it was hot. I wish this was a smaller concept or have multiple locations in the park so quality and time can be improved. I would have gladly paid that kind of money for a fresh hot plate and a cleaner atmosphere. Will not wait in line for that ever again.

Trapper's Smokehouse is a solid go-to if you're looking for a hearty meal in the park. The platter is definitely the best value, especially if you get the all-day dining pass it’s about half the cost of the pass and then you can use it at other spots too. It’s something we always do when we’re planning to stay all day. The food is satisfying and makes it easy to refuel without leaving the park.

I have never left a review on Google but felt the extreme desire to do so after my experience here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It smells great from afar, but the food does not live up to the tasty aroma. Everything was flavorless and dry. The ribs were mediocre at best, but they were definitely not worth the price considering it was almost $40 for ribs, fries, and a slice of bread. The bread roll itself had MOLD in the middle. My friend bit into the roll and realized halfway through the bite that there was mold. The only thing that saved this place was the lady who gave us a whopping load of fries when we asked for more. Would not recommend.

This was a pretty decent place, nice décor and setup. I got the Trapper’s signature smoked chicken for $23 which is a ½ BBQ chicken with fries and a roll. The chicken was good, would have liked just a little bit more fries for the price. I also got a side salad for $8. The food was good. Seating was decent as well.

A 1 star is 1 too many! Food was cold. The staff refused to let us have the fresh food beig put out. As we were heading to the check out they were fighting with a man that was wanting a kids meal that didn't have hard crusted over mac n cheese. Shame on Busch Gardens! Awful customer service.
