I was told they would not seat me inside as I was a single diner, but could be seated outside. I accepted the outdoor table, although it was quite chilly, and ordered a beer and some food. The beer was about all I got, as I sat there for an hour waiting. No one returned to check on me or update me about the reason for the lengthy wait. Eventually, I went inside and politely asked to pay for my drink and leave. The response was curt and evidently displeased, but they took my money. The dining room was not at all full, so why I had to freeze outside is unclear. The sushi chef did look busy, but it must have been entirely for takeaway orders judging by the nearly empty dining room. At any rate, service was awful and grudging, and I never even got to taste any food.

Such a great find for Korean and Japanese food in the area. Ordered the chicken katsu and the Korean ramen. So satisfying and great prices.

Have eaten here twice in the past year, most recently around 4th of July, on our way up to NY. My wife and I both get sashimi and some rolls. Super fresh fish. They also have fresh wasabi if you ask. Will be back.

The food was good, but sitting outside was very uncomfortable due to the number of flies. It really took away from the dining experience. While the restaurant has a nice outdoor setup, I wouldn’t recommend eating outside.

Decent California style roll. Nice cut of fish. Good portion, just the right amount of wasabi & ginger.

We were passing through the Winchester Virginia area and found this great Sushi restaurant. We both had sushi rolls and found them to be fantastic!

The Sushi is delicious. Some of the entrees are not so great. The ramen, and udon was not restaurant quality. Once again, would go again for the Sushi.

Service was horrible! Took about an hour to get sushi. One person who didn't go order sushi was served and already done eating way before sushi arrived. Not worth the wait

Stopped by right before lunch ended but she was happy to serve us. Fantastic fresh food and fun specials. Purchased a beautiful, hand boxed, gift set that had sake cups made by the husband, and two bottles sake highlighting both the husbands and wives favorites and they are now our favorites!!! So let them pick Sake for you if you are unsure! Excited to come back and try more of the menu

We were not expecting to wait nearly 50 minutes for our food after placing the order. We visited during the weekend dinner rush, so we understood it would be a busy time. It appeared that there was only one person working in the kitchen. A simple heads-up about the delay, an apology, or even a brief acknowledgment of our patience would have been appreciated — unfortunately, none of that was offered.
Given the long wait, we would have reconsidered our plans had we known in advance.

The service was okay, and the quality of the food was quite good, especially considering the prices compared to other sushi restaurants. With improved communication and a bit more attentiveness, the dining experience could have been much better.

Awabi is family owned and opened for about 15 years. This place provides some of the best crafted sushi I’ve ever had. The staff are super nice, Faye was so sweet! The hours are a little hard to catch for me personally but make it work, 12-2 pm Saturday for lunch and 5pm-9pm for dinner. They are located within the walking mall, but easy to get to. Highly recommend the food and atmosphere!

You will literally not find better sushi between here and Washington DC. And the owners + staff are incredible people. My wife and I won't get sushi from anywhere else!
