Have come here many, many times over the years with the wife and kids. Lately though, the service has definitely been not up to par….and I have fairly low expectations. The staff just seems stressed as of late. Also the stuff just seems heaped on the pie and not as appealing as in the past. Maybe hire one of these college kids to just work the till and clean, hand out flyers. Leave the two older guys in the back to just make pies.
We typically leave good tips there too (50-100%), and we regularly order 6-8 slices. I even have one of their shirts ha. Whenever family/ friends come into town we try to bring them there. With all that said- I’ve just hit that point…. I hate to say it, but we won’t be coming back. The pizza is a novelty, and the flavors are hit or miss. Things have just fallen off enough there to where I don’t feel like wasting my money, or more importantly, my time.
We have mythic pizza on 522 which is legit pizza, if we want that. If we are on the mall to eat, we can just go next door to Sexi Mexi. The staff there remembers us, is engaging towards our kids, and all the food is good.

Benny’s responded to my review, which is great. Good of them to not just ignore bad reviews that they may occasionally get. If we do go back and check it out again, I will update my review. We only eat out around twice a month, and the kids look forward to it…so we want to make sure that we are spending our time and money well. I will say that for the first dozen times we went there, it was my favorite pizza place around. It’s actually the dining out place we frequented the most.
As an aside, some of the combinations have been great (the Angry Dwarf and Sriracha Sausage stand out). If you call in a pie to go, to share with friends and have minimal interaction with the staff, I doubt that you can go wrong.
Don’t let my experience sway you one way or the other. Swing by and check it out, come to your own conclusions.

A great place for a slice! I've been coming here for years, but more recently it's become a spot for me and my daughter to go together. Went again today and we were helped by Sara and Ryan, both of whom provided awesome service and great conversation! And, as always, the pizza was hot, BIG, and tasty. Since she couldn't finish it, my daughter happily had the rest of her slice for dinner while watching Rudolph with her mom and brother. :)

The pricing for the portion was nice. The service was lacking we weren’t really greeted when we walked in nor told what the special was. The menu could have been formatted better. For what it is I could see how it would be a nice experience for college students and/or people visiting . The pizza is big and the flavor is there but I would not say it’s the best and wouldn’t really go back . I would say to at least try it but I don’t see it being a staple in my options for pizza . 🍕

Talk about a diamond in the rough. My family and I, 10 of us in total, stopped at Benny Meleto's on Saturday and pretty much took over the place. There may be seating for 20-25 people total and we took up most of it. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to be accommodating. The pizza was as delicious as it was big. Plenty of drink options and one of the few places I have ever been that has Mikes Hot Honey for your pizza. Well worth the 2 hour drive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’re a new business to Winchester and the downtown walking mall, and decided to venture out today to explore the many wonderful businesses. We happen to find Benny Meleto’s today — so glad we did! The giant slices totally rival my NY roots. 🍕
Ryan, the owner, was super friendly and gave us great tips about downtown while telling us all about his pizza. The slices were so HUGE we actually split one slice that was half pepperoni and half The Versace (with peppers, onions, and pesto) — so good!
Can’t wait to go back and grab a whole pie next time!

What I was not expecting was the fact that the pizza is a lot better than the cheap pizza. Better ingredients and I love the thin crust. Will definitely be making another trip.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ You can feed the whole family with one pizza.

For what Bennys is, it’s perfect. I stop in to grab a slice with the kids on the regular. Grab a coke, slice, side of ranch, parm and pepper, hot crunchy pizza, happiness, back to walking around downtown. Hits the spot every time when you need a slice.

Plenty of pizza places in Winchester, very few places for just a slice. Benny’s huge slices are great. Crispy bottom, sauce and cheese proportionate. Usually pretty quick to serve, open late and have a featured slice that rotates. Stopped by after soccer today, my daughter was dehydrated and needed water, dude comped her a bottle. What a great staff.
